FINALLY! But it will take a little getting used to not having Bill Hillgrove on the radio. The Steelers always made a big deal about having as many stadiums as head coaches post 1969, but they also only had TWO regular play-by-play guys from 1965 to 2023.

Tomlin. Too good to fire. Not good enough to go deep in the playoffs. Last year was amazing. It took fan chants to get rid of Canada. Mason saves Tomlin’s no losing season record … and got canned.

@@jefferytokarsky1930 Steelers are just 1 of 9 teams to not win a playoff game since 2016. Tomlin has just 3 playoff wins in nearly 14 years. In his last 5 playoff games, the Steelers have given up over 200 points. They were outscore 66-0 in the first quarter of those 5 playoff games. His Superbowl win came because of a miraculous toe tap to regain the lead after blowing a 2 score lead in the 4th quarter against a 40 year old Kurt Warner. They were a 7 point favorite against Green Bay in that 2nd Superbowl appearance and lost. The best QB Tomlin's Steelers have beaten in the post season was a Rookie Joe Flacco. Tomlin is a fraud that only has any sort of success in the league because of the players and structure that was established before him. He started his post season career here 5-2, and has since gone 3-8 without Cowher's culture. He has never been "not too good to fire". He should have been fired after Tim Tebow dunked on him at Mile High, and definitely fired after losing to the Browns in the playoffs when they didn't even have a head coach present because of c-19 protocol. Giving Tomlin that extension was absolutely insane. Mike Tomlin will never win another playoff game.

@@revbud3123 He was the only true Steeler QB we had and it seemed he used his time on the practice team to develop himself. I’m glad we got to see him play those last 4 games before he left. I think he’d have been great with Smith’s system. He has the right personality of a great teammate and leader. The Titans are lucky to have him even if he takes on a Charlie Batch type role there. He’ll be ready to go if called on.
