I didn’t vote for trump in 2020. But he’s getting my vote in 2024. He may be an asshole but the economy was BOOMING while he was in office. I was saving, investing, going on vacations, and bills weren’t an issue in my household. I now make 50% more than I did when he was in office (moved up in my company) and I can barely pay the bills, I’m thinking about selling my truck, lost a few thousand in my savings, and vacation seems like a pipe dream. It’s blatantly obvious getting rid of him was a massive mistake.

All depends on whether there’s enough time left in the cycle for voters to not be influenced by her honeymoon period. If the Dems had changed horses in January, for example, then there’d have been more nationwide exposure by now and perhaps the polls would be different. Word of warning, though: it’s also possible that her numbers would increase rather than decrease.

NE-02 is critical for Trump! If Harris runs the table on the Upper Midwest, NE-02 would almost guarantee him 269 EV. Election then goes to the House, and given its makeup, Trump would win.

It may be associated with the fact that Nebraska has the only one-house state legislature in the nation, known as the Unicameral, but once again I don't know if this is a factor or not. I also don't know why Maine does it either. actually, if he sweeps the Sunbelt (AZ, NV, GA, NC) & wins Nebraska 2nd district, he hits 269 which is a tie & ties go to the House which has a Republican majority. under that scenario, Trump would win without ANY of the Rustbelt states. similarly, Trump could win Virginia, lose Arizona AND Nebraska 2nd district & hit exactly 270 votes, again without ANY of the Rustbelt states. Trump has enough cushion to have multiple potential winning combinations without a single rustbelt state… altho it is much more likely he wins 1 if not 2 of the Rustbelt states while losing Virginia & still wins handily. the map just doesnt look good for Kamala even with polls that oversample & overweigh EVERY demographic favorable to her. she has everything on her side, from the media to the polls, & still has a very narrow path to 270. she needs nearly EVERY swing state. Trump needs only about half.

its simple: the Morning Consult/Bloomberg poll oversamples Democrats by over 15% more than actually turned out in 2020. all of these polls are weighted to calculate a certain % of Republicans, Democrats & Independents, a certain % of white, black, latino voters, etc. if a poll gets these percentages wrong it will show wildly inaccurate results, as we see with the most recent Morning Consult poll. Ipsos oversamples Democrats as well. Rasmussen undersamples Democrats & oversamples groups favorable to Trump.
