Yeah agreed, all this talk about regulations forcing OEMS to turbocharge smaller engines or go full EV, and the Japanese are still giving us n/a V8s and n/a boxer engines. Have to give Porsche credit, yes they have many VWs and Audis with Porsche badges (and I understand they do that to keep the boat afloat) but you forgive these cars because you can still buy a n/a GT Porsche with a manual gearbox or at the very least still buy an almost new one. To buy a proper M car you have to go back more than 10 years.

The camera angles on the DeLorean and Ferrari 400/412 really make the cars look way better than they actually are. The rolling shots are absolutely bang on and could make you fall in love with them, only to have your heart broken when seeing them in person. The last of the Prelude's, more so in a SH trim are probably the best looking Honda's made of the modern era. They always looked like they should have been RWD. Like they were begging for the Vigor drivetrain and 5cylinder under the hood. I think that's what it was lacking honestly. It could have really put a dent in the S chassis Nissans.

I think '60's and earlier is on the decline and has seen its peak as Boomers cash out and the next generation are more interested in '90's to 00's cars. These later cars were the aspirational vehicles of Gen X's youth and are more compatible with modern traffic conditions. I think the aberration to the widely predicted generational shift are pre-WW 1 "Brass Era" cars which are now being viewed through the historic lens as being the first ICE cars as we enter long tail to ICE vehicle production with driver involvement levels having peaked.

In the past there have been some expensive cars such as Speciale or 997.2 GT3 4.0. Here there are none, so maybe that’s an indication they expect the market generally to be flat or decline further. Cars from the 60’s will under perform the market as the demographics who want that car pass away or stop driving. A manual Gallardo, especially one of the rarer variants may be wise bet or stand a good chance of not losing much.

Does America have different Spec models of mini as an ex owner of an R50 cooper & R56 Cooper S , the car in the video was clearly an R53 Cooper S but was badged up as a cooper with no S on the wings & S on the rear tailgate. The car had the rear centre double exhaust & bonnet scoop which are Cooper S or certainly are here in Europe.
