Not only is available as a 4 door, but also a a 5 door - filling the gap in the market and making this a vehicle destined to sell. Excellent video Charlotte!. TL:DR Kia Canada, this channel sells cars, give them better/more access!!!. I understand it's a US show and you're a Canadian channel, but it does work for selling cars!. I was looking for a new car back in very early 2021 and wanted a small car to replace my 20 year old Echo. I have family members that own Kias and liked them so that helped, but it was this very channel that convinced me that I should seriously consider a Kia. I went out and bought a brand new Kia Rio LX+ , my little red that I have commented about on many Rio videos and that I love and am very happy with it.

KIA said next year for the 5 door hatchback version. Hopefully that means by Feb 2025 at the latest. It's gonna be hard for me to wait that long. But if they truly don't announce a full GT trim with more performance and a manual option, then I'm gonna have to pass. I hope they confirm that asap, so that I know that I should go back to just getting a 2024 Forte GT manual while they are still available.

Two things: When will manufacturers get away from using alphanumeric names? It is understandable why the host got confused with the model name. Bring back popular names like 'Brougham'. Wait! That was a terrible name that was overused in the 70s and 80s 😂 The other thing is the big honkin' exterior front door handles, made even more ridiculous by the 'hidden' rear door handles. Personally, I don't think this is one of Kia's best, most recent designs.

I don't know about that, something that looks like this should be in the 230hp-250hp range. Even if the performance gains from 190hp to 230hp may be minimal (+40hp, QUICK MAHFS!), HP numbers sells cars. Hell, even fake it on the spec sheets, lol. AWD option?

Nothing nags at car enthusiast more than a car that looks this good but doesn't back up its looks. Unless I am mistaken about its size, you will see all the YT car review guys say exactly what I'm saying right now. "Looks good, lacks power" I'm quite confident that will be a recurring theme with its reviews. Granted, that 190hp maybe be well suited and be perfectly adequate for this application but HP sells cars, even if the numbers are fake.

They may have "replaced" the Forte in the line-up with the k4 but it's not a Forte replacement, if you get me. I like the front design, not so sure about the rear, it reminds me of some pininfarina prototype car, which probably is not such a bad deal :) . The interiour looks like some cheap car from the 1990ies (but that seems to be a popular design language on most car companys these days for some reason) , but anyway, I find it hard to believe that this will be $20k, as I have read on so many places now. Feels more ike start at $30k.

Great question - the handle for the rear doors is in the C pillar next to the window. It's not very obvious, but it is there. We didn't get to do all the filming we wanted, the Kia USA staff weren't being very helpful.

@@porfiriato84 I live in northern Europe, and have never heard of either K4 and K5 before this video lol. Kia Picanto, Stonic, Ceed, XCeed, Niro, Sportage, EV6, EV9 and Sorento is what is sold here. Kia started as an affordable car a few years ago, but are now close to premium prices here. You know its bad when you buy and Audi instead cause it was cheaper :)
