Another great review Andy and Another winner a few chips mushy peas or garden peas 🫛 red sauce and ofcourse bread and butter 👍 Iceland used to have economy fish cakes i think 8 for a pound ina white and blue bag don't know if they still have them but they were great 👍🍟🦈🫛🍞

not bad i get the 10 cod 45% fish cakes from tesco for £1.89 the price has been going up but still very nice about the size and for 19p a fish cake you cant complain there very nice there from hearty food tesco if anyone wants to try them have a few there not massive but nice

I was brought up poor and single parent. However she bought cheap cuts of meat and bones and made nutritious meals out of them. She would not buy any prepared foods as it was more expensive than making your own from scratch. 1960-1970s

There are a Number of items that are a £1 made and in other freezer shops. and this is one item in the same way as the pancakes with stuff in. So they may just be the same ones they do. Think is farmfoods, heron that has these. wonder if there is any difference. But just to say the farmfoods pancakes have 280g for £1.09 box. So it seems that Iceland has just looked around for other items that they can sell at a pound nothing wrong with that. I have had these cheap versions before and they are totally fine. They do look a little difference in looks, but if they can keep them in stock like the rest of there range. The problem comes is that they bring a small amount in which sells out then you go to the next priced version.

Yep, we are all individuals, I'm not a Pollock fan but will give it a go. Curry Bratwurst was one where two flavours were tried by the 'other' bloke, he liked one flavour, I liked the other, we are all different. I note he has particular tastes that he likes, not all of us enjoy!

As fishcakes tend to vary at different chippys, these would be worth having and you can always add more seasoning at home. You have done alright recently, feeding you and yours with £1 meals. The money that you have saved could buy a luxury treat or two from M&S maybe.

Great series so far Andy. Loved the recent pancake video, reminded me of findus ines from back in the days. Ive not shopped at iceland for afew years and im glad they are bringing the quality back into thier budget items l. I whole heartedly agree with your message as its your own opinion and its also what you can afford, this might be a little treat for those on UC on a strict budget who like fish but cant afford to get some of the more fresher and expensive items.
