Looks like an "update" to my Chuwi Hi10Go (N4500/6GB RAM/100GB storage) that purchased a few years ago at a lower price too! It is a bit larger however (13" vs 10"). My Hi10 Go is still working, but a number of things about it that I hope don't plague the Hi10Max. 1. Battery had to be replaced (I purchased one from a 3rd party). 2. Keyboard with its pogo-style attachment failed (I replaced it with a small Arteck BT keyboard - no more wired connectors to worry about!). 3. The pen (in my case, it's recharged via USB) scratches the plastic screen protector - I replaced the screen protector with a 3rd party one, and then just removed it entirely. 4. Volume buttons stopped working properly - I just adjust the volume within Windows. 5. Non-standard USB-C charger that charges immediately at 12V. Ended up destroying a BT speaker that was accidentally plugged into the charger. 6. USB ports don't provide much power to external devices connected via USB.

I'd have bought this if it came equipped with either the N300 or N305. Shame they went with the N100. Should be great for school, especially for students who aren't 3D modeling, video editing(?) and other GPU intensive operations.

Usual with Chuwi laptops for years is great displays and weak chipsets. However, this time around, there is no room for weak x86 consumer device because mobile apps have better support/development. In other words, I'd like Chuwi explore making Android devices.

I tried a chuwi ubook in early 2020 but it had some kind of major flaw where the kickstand wouldn't hold up the device. I didn't see anyone else with the same issue though so it was peculiar but I got it through Amazon so it was an easy return.. I ended up just settling on a surface pro for twice the money. This time I'm not sure what I'll do next. You can make an argument that something like this and a steam deck which combined would still be less than a surface pro without the keyboard, could be an option

This is impressive for the price. If my OnePlus Pad had a keyboard like that, it would be perfect. I'm not usually a fan of the N100, especially with only single channel memory, but it seems like it would get better battery life than 3-4 hours. It is very nice to see a windows tablet done right in this price range with a 3:2 aspect ratio. I may consider returning my Surface Pro 11 OLED with Snapdragon X Elite and replace it with this tablet instead for 1/4 of the price. All of my apps are accessed through RDP from my app server anyway, and I can game from my game streaming server, so the stepdown in performance wouldn't be that major --- but I would expect good battery life on an N100 no matter what the price. If this had a 120Hz option for an extra $100 or so, It'd be all over this though for sure!

I understand the single channel support for N100... what I don't understand is that they only applied 12GB of RAM. N100 supports up to 32GB of RAM... they should have placed AT LEAST 16GB of RAM in there for the same price.

An AMD 5500u or 5560u CPU is only about $50 more, but performs about 3 times better in things like Passmark, and can actually game a little bit. I hope they're gonna upgrade this tablet to an AMD CPU, I'd gladly pay $100 more to get something that feels snappy and will have at least 2-3 more years of life in it. Would love a 120hz screen too.

Battery life makes it extremely difficult to recommend. Otherwise, you are getting what you pay for. But most people will need at least twice that SOT, and if you use this outdoors, 3 hours will become 2 hours and impractical. So, it's worth paying a bit more for something with sensible battery life.

Crippled by the N100 chip (this was diastrous in the Microsoft Go3...very slow) and Chuwi's unfortunate penchant for poor quality, especially bulging batteries. I have a Chuwi Mini-Book (disastrous release) and while mine is still functional, fully 50% of the initial release (part of an Indiegogo..kickstarter) failed with batteries bulging after a few months and other defects. I would never buy Chuwi again. BTW, there is another Surface alternative the Lenovo Ideapad Duet 5i, not really cheap but a complete solution (Keyboard and pen inlcuded) for the same price as a standalone Surface 11 tablet without accessories.
