The game isn’t designed for people to watch competitively because we have actual basketball to watch instead. 2k at high levels is nothing like actual basketball. Competitive call of duty would be interesting for me because I don’t have anything to compare it to. But watching 2k 5v5 is just the same animations same offensive/defensive schemes for 30 minutes. I can just watch actual basketball rather than Jamal Murray behind the back all game. If there was a 2k league team with a jokic build or someone with a luka build it would be a lot more interesting. I can’t just watch the same brand of basketball. Every team has a 3pt hunting pg with no defense, then the lock guards pg, got a backend and center goes to the corner. No ones posting up, no one’s a mid range demon, there’s no variety. Rec content if far more interesting than actual 2k league games. I see people with magic Johnson builds, Allen iverson, Kobe, Devin booker etc. But 2k has extremely OP builds/animations/lineups that every one uses so it’s literally just watching the same gameplay but with different teams. And other games have meta stuff too but with other games there’s no real life comparison. But then again if they make 2k too realistic people will also complain. Can’t really win.

i feel like they need to do better with the animations. it’s so many jumpshots and dribble animations that looks fun to use and i have builds that i play around on with new animations but they fckn suck. there’s a hundred animations for a jumpshot but yet im stuck using the same one jumper as everyone bc everything else is broke. jamal murray should not be the only effective behind the back in the game. and im tired of playing with ppl with trash builds because they didn’t knows what they where doing and they can’t afford to make a new build

@@ssXFROSTY I agree. They do a terrible job with animations. There shouldn’t be 5-6 animations that every player needs to be successful. Yes some animations will be faster and create more space but it shouldn’t be that extreme. That Jamal Murray behind the back, I see it at least 3 times on EVERY possession. Any game developer that cares about their game would patch it. Or even L2 cancel. Or quick stop 3s. Or that fucking John wall hop back. It’s just so boring. 2k25 they gotta make it so you can dominate on a Westbrook, iverson, magic, giannis, or jokic build. Im so tired of watching 3pt hunting behind screens. I’d honestly rather have someone drop 50 on me in the midrange than have someone get 20 off L2 cancelling. And it’s not just playmaking and shooting, even passing animations. If you can get tyrese Halliburton then it’s the best by far. Same with motion styles and every other category. There shouldn’t be 1 or 2 insanely good animations. ESPECIALLY if the actual players don’t play like that. There’s no reason why patty mills has a better jumpshot than Steph curry. I’ve never seen Jamal Murray do that behind the back. Never seen John wall/lebron sprint full speed to the midrange, instantly hop back 10ft and have a wide open stand still 3. But from what I’ve heard, 2k are going towards pro play a lot more in the new game and making it more realistic.

That’s not why this happened. The 2KL spends wayyyyyy more money than they make, and bringing in content creators would obviously bring more viewers meaning more money. I personally would rather watch competitive pro am, but as I said in my video, I think 90% of the 2k community couldn’t name the 2 goats of the league

There’s so many people in the league but u can’t see any of their personality unless they make content outside of the league. They should’ve taken a page from the way they do it with competitive madden.

I feel like they need a 2k league that consists of how people do the pro am leagues have high school college and pro league also if 2k ever made a 2kWnba myplayer they could have the same thing for the Wnba 2k league I feel like they got to have high school leagues amd college leagues to constantly have new people and up coming 2k player not just content creators and have people get drafted each year have a high-school combine to make the highschool league then from their they can commit to a college then they go pro
