As a black woman, I feel the same way about some 🌑 men. Some are so unecessarily "pushy" or argumentative about the smallest thing, like right out of the gate when they meet you... that I have actually had to put up very clear boundaries (like, "hmmm, no...I am not your servant/doormat sir"). And it probably does come off as attitude by that 3rd "button push" with me being nice. But it is interesting because when I am with non-blk men, the difference is like night and day, and I am more relaxed, quiet and feminine. They just seem more "natural" about their leadership I think (like, "don't you worry your pretty little head about a thing. I got you and I GET you") . Also...Alot of blk men think them earning 0k-100k, or being cheap/stingy/50-50 minded is enough for it to be worth your while to put up with their combative or toxic behavior and be submissive to them. I have to be fully taken care of in *peace* for it to be worth my while 💅 I have alot to offer the right person (just like he feels he does). But it will not be given without sacrifice, compromise and submission from him as well.

I believe women should keep their options open in terms of race/ethnicity when dating. I wanted to date and marry within my race, as black men were what I was most attracted to, but I was completely open to dating men of other races. I just so happened to end up marrying within my race which was a blessing. I never experienced older black men (40+) being any kind of way, but unfortunately in the black community there are many issues with us creating successful relationships with each other. I wish this wasn't the case, as it is a bonus to be able to bond over "the black experience" in a relationship lol. I do hope that we as a community can create and facilitate healthy, strong, and lasting families. Yeah it definitely matters on the beauty standards. My husband is from Eastern Europe where the beauty standard is to be thin, big chest and not a big butt. Also, long hair. That is definitely different than the US standard which is thick or slim thick figure
