Nice video. I use the sigma 24-70 as my daily driver too and agree with everything you say. For wide angle work on events and interior i use the Sigma 16-28mm f/2.8 DG DN. It isn't as sharp as the 24-70, misses the customizable button and feels a bit cheaper. But thsn again, it has some rocksteady performance over the zoom range and is lighter for gimballs. Focus performance is good but the 24-70 does a bit better with the a7iv.

hi there! i'm curious if you have any specific sony e-mount lens recommendations for overhead shot art tutorials? i just got an A6100 body and am at a bit of a loss on which lens to get. thank you!

I always recommend zoom lenses for overhead cameras because of the ease of use and getting bokeh isn't usually a priority on those either. So i would personally go for either the Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 DC DN lens, Sigma 10-18mm f/2.8 DC DN lens, or the Sony 10-20mm f/4 PZ lens. These are all APS-C lenses and give you a nice range for your a6100 for the overhead rig. I would personally just stay away from primes unless you find the perfect focal length and never intend on changing it.

@@AryanSehgal thank you for your response! My friend recommended a nice Sony 50mm prime lens, which is waaaaay to zoomed in for my purposes but takes great thumbnail pics, so I'm keeping it. I'll look into a zoom lens. I appreciate your thoughtful reply!

Yea no worries. Getting a somewhat wide zoom is nice because then you don't need to have the camera too far up above your head, making it hard to reach as well. Hope it works out. Cheers!
