It’s vids like this that make me really sad to see how far his voice has declined. Right through to the end of the These Day’s tour he was an excellent, powerful and charismatic singer. Smoking and age really did a number on him from 2000 onwards, when the decline began to become evident. (although on the Bounce tour he was great)
@gillianmcbean2382 жыл бұрын
Age might factor into it but smoking maybe not so much he stopped smoking years ago although in his days he did have problem with voice due to touring too much bit give the guy a break hez been performing for over 40 years doing 3 4 hour sets it bound to take its toll on his voice but I for one are still happy to see him live even now hes still got that stage presence and can work a crowd he truly is a brilliant songwriter and frontman and no one can take that away from him

@CrazySinging3 жыл бұрын
@@ImJuanChannel I think it can be called both second harmonic or overtone in this case too since it’s more powerful than the fundamental. In fact the fundamental is barely detected on the few softwares I tried, but the microphone/quality of recording and other noises present could be affecting this too. It definitely reaches G# according to Adobe Audition, though. ibb.co/r4nWL2j

Please, do a Vince Neil impossible vocal lines, everyone it's just making fun of him now when he was INCREDIBLE good in the 80s, and i think he deserves little bit of recognition, he is so underrated and i don't know why, a lot of Mötley Crüe demos, unreleased songs, underrated and obviously official songs, including his solo album "Exposed", he deserves it, and considering his unhealthy lifestyle and not caring for his powerful voice... All the problems and tragedies that he went through, being addicted to drugs since he was 10 years old and from party to party every day, when his fame spread worldwide the parties where in the morning, un the afternoon, at night, at dawn... the fights, the arrests, and appearing in the studio to record without having slept, still drunk and hoarse, and yet his recordings were impeccable and success after success his talent along with that of his bandmates made the world marveled, even after Vince's daughter died of cancer at the age of 4 and he went into a deep depression and suicide attempts he continued to create incredible music and having started as a guitarist in local bands he became a singer without ever having had no reference or previous experience, the rest is history of a legend⭐⭐. Thank you, i love your content

The I'll be there for you and Livin in sin scream is a powerful and very very loud note with distorsion hitting a C#5-D#5, or even E5 and F5, with an overtone created by pressing hard against the upper front paladar. Basically, you go all-in, put the whole sound towards. You can watch some other vids with better audio quality than that one, for example, live in Rotterdam. There's another way to create a sound kinda similar, by inhaling, and it's more powerful and you can reach the 6th octave, but it's dangerous, very very dangerous. But Jon's are definitely exhaling.
@ImJuanChannel2 жыл бұрын
kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZa8eaKvqceGldE try watching that one... That scream at the end has the biggest quality. You can listen how the sound is actually not like a tunnel-alien sound like it sounds here, but a powerful scream with distorsion

Idk if we've seen the same video but he just put two lives one where he sings the whole Livin On A Prayer Key Change and his highest note ever sung. He surely sounds differently most of the time live so I'd agree with you on that but he would rely on his nasal technique for avoiding fuck his voice up, something I've noticed myself. His best shows til this day are Blaze Of Glory (Oscars 1991) and Good Guys Don't Always Wear White (1994 Movie Awards). He has tons of shows showing his true skills live but I find those I've mentioned to be the very best of him
