They are canon in the film franchise as we can see an Edmontosaurus skull in the Rex nest scene in TLW, Metriacanthosaurus was originally going to be in Fallen Kingdom but got cut for reasons possibly to save budget and was apart of the original JP roster, but Metria was one of the species that fell back to extinction.

7:38 not just for being iconic, in the synopsis they also say "massive" and if I remember well the Trex was the carnivorous dinosaur with the most mass due to being much thicker than the spino and I think the giga too, thought the JP rex is much skinnier than the real life counterpart, so I'm not sure it's still valid in regards to the film

It could be the titanosaurus, but it could be another saurpod entirely. The one saurpod I think could fit the bill is the alamosaurus. For the carnivore side I think it could be the T Rex or spinosaurus since the giga was killed in dominion.

I'm not that into the jurassic series but in the synopsis it says that the 3 largest creatures/dinosaurs hold the cure. The land creature could be the spino but later on it the synopsis it says "they all find themselves stranded on an island and come face to face with a sinister, shocking discovery thats been hidden away for the world for decades" the fact that this is a suprise means that they already knew about the 3 dinosaurs and this dinosaur is a new discovery, the fact that it was hidden away form decades kinda points towards it being the spinosaurous, it could be a completely new dinosaur however but with the theme they are going with it could very well be the spino.

I still don’t know why it just so happens that the largest marine reptile, dinosaur and pterosaur within the Tropical regions are the key to making a drug. What an odd coincidence that they are all the largest of their kind. While it is sad, the largest land animal probably isn’t a Sauropod. I doubt they will bring back Mamenchisaurus or Dreadnoughtus.

I'd love to see plotline focused around a sauropod or titanosaur. Herbivores have been treated in most of the franchise as innocent gentle giants, rather than the dangerous-if-provoked animals they likely were in real life. Plus, we've never really seen an aggressive herbivore dino on the Jurassic big screen, so it would be an interesting addition to the world. And, there's a lot of dramatic potential to be mined if the human team is hunting the same herbivore as a large carnivore dino, or a pack of smaller theropods. I know a lot of people want to see more T. rexes and velociraptors, but I think those two dinos are kind of played out as primary "characters." They should appear, but shouldn't be the focus IMO.

Something you have to take into account for the giga/spino is that the spino was almost twenty years old in CC, while the giga is only two-three years old in dominion. But it's most likely to be tyrannosaurus, as much as I desperately want an aggressive sauropod

If they let us down and the movie is a massive disappointment us jurassic fans would be outraged as we got our hype up just for in to be a flop but in this theatrical scenario the rumours about the eighth Jurassic film are true It's possible that the eighth movie is better than Jurassic World Rebirth it would basically become the Jurassic Park 3 of the Jurassic World series but again this is a theatrical and it is extremely unlikely in my opinion anyway I mean they have some of the best people to make a jurassic film including Steven Spielberg who also made all of the other jurassic movies and a lot of other incredible people who I can't think of right now and they all of them are working on this movie so it's basically impossible to mess this up but this is universal we are talking about they messed up Jurassic Park 3 that had so much potential but I'm preying to god they don't mess this up but that's just my opinion feel free to respond to my comment to let me know yours!

Patagotitan and titanosaurus are only 70 tones but Argentinasaurus is 88tons, i know its jurassic so it won't be accurate, but bruhathkayosaurus is a new sauropod in India weighing 130tons+. I think people sre kinda too sure about the main aquatic animal beign mosasaurus. It could also be a new species and there are quite alot of colossal marine animals. Yes they are smaller than jw mosa but there would be still quite a few candidates like another species of mosasaur, a large pliosaur or also a large ichtyosaur like shonisaurus or shastasaurus

Giganotosaurus I feel is out of the question since we only ever see one and it's dead. I mean technically from the land side, it should be Sauropods but you never know. It really is between Spinosaurus and Tyrannosaurus. Also I wouldn't discount Tyrannosaurus, you never know if Buck and Doe grew even bigger than Rexy or not. Maybe they won't be as long as the CC Spino, but you never know with this franchise.

It won’t make sense for the Gigantosaurus to return because it died in Dominion and maybe It will be T-Rex however we don’t know if it’s Rexy or a different T-Rex maybe the Buck and Doe from the lost world with it being the Spinosarus possibly since the fan base want it to return on the big screen and depending on what island they go to. To find a DNA sample for this land colossal creature it will be nice for a change to experience something different if it was a big herbivorous Titanosaur or sauropod 🦕
