*This is the 3 MIN fix that will stop you for good! On a different note…who’s your pick for the open?*

Would love to see Tommy Fleetwood winning it. Question for a future video perhaps. Something I really struggle with despite having a bunch of lessons. My irons are really inconsistent in that I could hit fat/thin, slice or hook and there's seemingly no method to the madness. During lessons it feels like I fix them but when I'm out on the course it's a different story. I think the main issue is that I tend to sway a lot in the backswing and downswing. Whenever I see videos of myself hitting my left leg (lead leg) bends a lot on the backswing which isn't something I see with the pros. Any suggestions?

@@AlexElliottGolf it worked. I was hitting the driver so beautifully today. Have a 230yrd par 3 always treat it as a par 4 tbf. Driver not usually straight enough to get there. Used the technique used and by gosh I was on the green I hit a straight drive over 220 yards. For me that doesn't happen what a day I had. Only played the front 9 came off with a 47 about 10 shots below what I usually achieve. Thank you Alex you are a legend.

This seems so simple, start small and build it up. The last time I played I hit 2 fairways…I missed 7 right and 5 left. My release is definitely an issue 👍🏻

that change in swing path works wonders. I didn't use the head cover technique, but I've done the feet-together, and the wringing towel drill, as well. now I just need to get out and practice more. I might get a chance to bring the clubs along and sneak off to the course wednesday.

Thoroughly enjoy the tips, still have an issue with shanking, continues to destroy rounds of golf, not necessarily looking for fast fix but would really appreciate pointers to help resolve this problem, thanks

Makes perfect sense. However, how can you finish on your left in the pose when starting more on the back leg? I know some smart person is going say weight transfer but how does that look as I keep finishing heavily on the back foot and not getting through

I think it was you. I finally realized what it is to feel the weight of the clubhead. Based on that I figured out the swing path, the turn, and realized how important the waggle is by feeling the weight and the path you're going to use. It was like it just hit me. Amazing. Now I can control the weight anyway I want. All this practice. I hit every ball the way I wanted too and finally broke 80..it is an unreal feeling when you finally put it all together. Thanks for the videos.

@alexelliotgolf... I wonder if you can help... what is the correct launch angle and height I should be aiming for with my driver? I hit the ball with a flat carry of around 240 to 250 with a total distance around 280 yards. I'm achieving a ball speed between 145mph to 152mph, I hit a Mizuno ST-Z at 9.5 degrees loft.

Hi Alex, I have only been playing for about two years and your instructional videos have made a huge difference in the advancement of my game! I do have one question about this video.....when standing with my feet together, do I still keep the ball placement at the front of the stance? Maybe at my left pinky toe? Thank you so much, I look forward to your response and keep up the good work!🙂

great tips Alex, thank you! I've really struggled with impact location on the club face. One day I'm hitting off the toe, the next day off the heel. Some days I'm skying the ball, the next day I'm topping it. It looks like your grip is more neutral than strong, is that a correct assessment? Once again, great video. From Victoria, BC, Canada

Slicers (I'm working on it) the biggest thing to get over is to aim, swing out to the right😢 the very place the little golf devil in your head tells you not to go. My devil will not let me do this😢 but tips from Alex I have a livable fade at least.
