Consider yourself lucky, because if people repaired hardware and software by themselves, there would be no need for people like you 😅 Getting back to the point, I don't like HMD, because they can't make a flagship phone like the old Nokia, but the fact it can be repaired so easily is very cool! For example I miss the changeable battery of the old Lumia 950 XL (now in my drawer).

I wish for rugged clam case that is IP68 while letting the buttons stay on the outside, and use the case pins to have an external fingerprint sensor, external top flashlight bar, and external battery that is ×1.5 the internal battery, bringing the phone to ×2.5 total battery capacity, and be able to simul drain and charge, with lower and upper limits, because i will se it to announce me at 30% to charge, up to 70% with notification, and to stop at 80% by itself. (And to keep the cameras sealed, you get gorilla glass reinforced edge rectangle over the camera bump, with a padded support on the actual camera bump, but sealed from elements ... and also a silica gel absorber in 2 corners that have an external indicator for when you need to change them, to keep everything dry, but also thermal pad, and thermal conducting areas that let the phone cool off inside the weather protective clam, i would pay half the phone worth just for such a case.)

No it's not the headphone jack. It's the speakers could've used an upgrade. Definitely a downgrade from my old phone. In addition, it's real slippery without without a case. But that's kinda just...standard now with premium materials. Already led to a few scratches and thank god not a break. But knowing screen repair is that dead simple has been such a relief.

While the Pulse+ is a fine work phone I wouldn't use it as a daily driver, but it does come with guides & parts on Ifixit like the Fusino and the Skyline. No matter how good your hardware is or how repairable your device is, it will still go down to one question, how many years of software update will it have? I think people should demand longer software update not just repairability. My s20+ is still freakin usable after 4 years and I have no plans to upgrade at all but security patches might end next year so there's no point using it as my main phone after that. Sucks right?

The warranty definitely voids if there's liquid or physicial damage on the components though, some customers are very rough with their devices when they try to do the work themselves and often worsen the condition of the device, so i would still suggest to go to a repair shop and tell them about the phone and the parts on the manufacturers website, at least I would be happy to do it at mine!
