WTF was this stacked Kennedy Center Honors like damn!!! Two of the most iconic trail blazing talented actresses, one of the best maestros to ever live, one of the most well-known influential directors with the best film franchises, and one of the greatest singer-songwriters ever. Plus the damn tributes were at their best.

The Kennedy Centre Honors series, especially this one, re-affirms my faith in all things bright and beautiful. Through their brilliant performances honoring the honorees, these remarkably talented artists, in their amazingly incredible presentations, remind me, so cogently, about a better time that we all knew and loved. I cry, laugh, and feel; like I haven't felt like for so long. Its like being born again and seeing life and its possibilities, afresh, for the first time. The lives and times and of the honorees parallel, and illuminate ours. Shukriya, Dhanyavad, Nandri, Thank you 😊 🙏

Wow. I'm a huge Miles Davis fan. I had no idea he and Cecilie were married. I can watch Yo Yo Ma for hours. Carole's reaction to Aretha gets me every time I watch that performance. The way Aretha just throws her coat down onto the stage. She was truly Queen of soul.

Sue Walsh, I totally agree. Miss Tyson is still magnificent ! I was lucky to meet the great lady while she visited my Mother at her home to gather from my Mom a rare sapphire -blue rose cutting from among my Moms garden of rare roses from all over the world. We chatted for a short spell and learned quickly, she is truly a special, amazing lady. Miss Tyson collected her rose cutting, than stuffed in my Mom's shirt pocket her family recipe for corn bread. Than arm and arm walked slowly together to the front of my Mom's estate. The old ladies hugged and kissed, waveing to me and than was driven away in her limo. I'll never forget that day.
