Hey Kyle quick question, Ive heard you say in your videos that writing copy is 60-80% research, but how would I go about that? Like for a specific product how would I assemble the copy

The research is more focused on the audience you are writing to and less the product itself. a lot of businesses already know exactly who their customer is and what they want so you can ask them for past surveys for feedback forms they have run. Understanding who your customer is and what they want will make selling to them a whole lot easier. I hope this helped :)

so these would be underlying questions you'd try to answer within something like a DIC/AIDA framework? Just want to understand how they fit in in context

Yes and no. They are the itch that needs to be scratched. They are the power you weild over them. They are the open loops they cannot walk away from.
