The 4-foot Studio light for $45 - Softlight on a budget!

I modified and use an Artika 4000K edge-lit LED softlight for my studio enabling me to have a wide, soft light for my tech videos, without needing several lights, several stands, or several hundred dollars. This source is 4 FEET wide, one foot tall, and is soft enough to have right in front of me because NO LEDs are facing forward.
In the video you can see how the light looks, the coverage, and I also show you how I mounted a removable VESA bracket to the plate on the back fo the light. This is the key- the LED light has a removable mounting plate which provides a way to bolt it to the VESA plate, without having to open the LED light itself, at all. You do have to mark and drill four holes, and then use four bolts to mate the VESA plate to the back-plate of the light. But with a total cost of under $100, this is am amazing, broad-source, softlight for your studio.
The Light I bought was $45 on sale from Costco. You'll likely not be able to get that price, but that's what I paid. The normal member price is $60. The general price on the web is $70.but that's still a great price for four FEET of light.

I was looking at something like this the last time I was shopping for video lights. Glad to see someone tried it and it works. Next time I'll go for it. Makes sense to have something flat when space is tight.

The fact that it's flat is what got me interested as well, plus it's not a small 12" light, which is hard to diffuse to fill a larger area. This is already 4-feet across so it fills quite nicely without needing any softbox or reflector.

Saw those at Costco too- was considering them for lighting a green screen - The size is perfect for seperate light spread behind the talent - then light the subject in front of it.

got one of these used at auction but cant get it to power on with the AC power switch i bought? which one did you use? it's not in the description. Also, i popped mine open and all the individual led bulbs work, tested with multimeter

I had three wires, positive, neutral and ground. I wired them to an AC plug and was done.

But i tested each bulb with multimeter and it seems good still; however, I was not able to find a way to get all the bulbs to light up at once with my multimeter.
