The Mad Wolf looks cool as hell! It’s like someone left Tamiya and went to work for Bandai the next day! Love it!

I get NIB collections but this buggy is very interesting and unique! That transmission set up looks fascinating Keith! Never seen this before and for me personally l would just have to build this!

Interesting kit. Can't say I've seen one before. I speak for myself here, but you don't have to worry about wasting my time. I'm sitting here watching guys on the internet talk about their RC cars. I obviously don't have anywhere to be. As far as new in box kits, I could never own one. I'd be constantly at war with myself over building it or not.

That mad wolf looks so interesting . You really need to build that. That could be your most interesting video by far. It looks to me like Bandai might have had Tamiya produce the kit for them . The packaging , printing font etc is all so similar! Would love to see it built !! I’m sure everyone would as well!

Wow, that's a nice kit and going onto my list to look out for... Great find! Bandai is still very big in the hobby arena and these days you find them mostly in stores with the Gundam mecha model kits. I saw a Bandai 1/16 RC Tiger tank being listed on sale recently but it sold later, so I'm not surprised to see this 1/10 2wd buggy. Haven't seen one before or realised they had these though, and it sounds like they even had a 4wd one. Unfortunately, seems like the sales didn't catch on though... Since they are still around making other plastic model kits, perhaps we can petition/request them for some re-res of these 1/10 2wd and 4wd kits...

Wow, what an awesome looking kit, I vaguely remember the Bandai Mad Wolf, not sure where from though! Shame about the shock oil leakage. Bandai did a 4WD kit called the Interceptor, I'm sure I've seen a video on that one on KZbin somewhere. Oh, and the 'kung fu' dubbing was brilliant ;)

BanDai is a high quality model maker. A ton of the Star Wars space cruisers were made from that manufacture, kit bashing..... This kit is definitely news to me. Thanks, great video!

Hey Keith, a very shrewd purchase, I sure overtime such a piece in your museum of the RC car world, will not only keep that WoW! Factor, but also the value will appreciate further. Although, I know you’re all about the nostalgia factor primarily, but there is always the financial factor that runs along side this very addictive hobby. Lots of extra parts too. Best wishes to you and the family 😊😊😎😎

Another great video, just reach out if you are still looking for TRF201 spares, I've managed to build up a pretty good stock of most of the parts including all the hard to find items you mentioned in the video. I do love a Buyee unboxing :-)

Very cool to see one NIB and it is a very unique kit for sure! It definitely has a very cool and complex rear end to it! This was definitely from the era of everyone doing there own thing and trying to get a firm foothold into the exploding RC market. Sadly some of the cool and complex engineering that went into them were also there downfall. It is a super cool kit to have and I would sit on that one for quite some time! If you ever do build it it should be when you have plenty of time to enjoy it and take it all in while building it! Lots of great goodies as well from buyee!

Bandai is a massive company these days, dwarfing tamiya in revenue, and probably on par with plastic model production. Pretty cool to have a piece of their history that's apparently their one toe dip into the RC world :D
@tm51233 ай бұрын
I had a bit of a look, apparently Bandai made a ready to run type 4wd 1/10 RC buggy, called the intercepter, and its even got cantilever front suspension, it looks really cool. I think its a in a category between toy grade and hobby, anyway, the suspension on it really cool. :D

I love your TBLE+M01 12TURN. I RIGHT NOW AM RUNNING THAT COMBINATION EXCEPT WITH A 10 TURN IN MY MF - 01X FOR THE POOR BOYS SPEED CHALLENGE. I HAD TO DO SOME LOOKING UP ONLINE BECAUSE I DID NOT KNOW WHAT THE MAXIMUM AMPERAGE DRAW OF THAT SPEED CONTROLLER WAS AND I WAS SO SURPRISED, AND DIDN’T REALIZE THAT IT WAS 100 A. SORRY ABOUT THE CAPITALIZATION ON ALL THE LETTERS. IT MUST’VE JUST GOTTEN STUCK THAT WAY. I WAS USING VOICE TO TEXT AND DIDN’T WANT TO TYPE EVERYTHING OVER AND IT JUST WOULDN’T STOP CAPITALIZING EVERYTHING.

I think they are fully into the Gundam etc kits, probably not worth it hopping back into RC, they have their own niche. Kinda like Marui who just make BB-guns these days, and some random scale stuff.
