I think even realistically, you can make the argument that there is someone for everyone, but does that someone match your own desires for a partner, are they the type of person you're likely to encounter within public society, and do they even live close enough to you where you don't need to travel halfway across the world just to meet them? For many people, the answer is 'no,' to all of them which is why it can feel like there's no one in the world for them.

To find the right women means to sacrifice, and finding someone who is willing to do the same for you. Nothing ever worthwhile comes without a cost, or work to attain it. If you just let life happen to you, you will miss every opportunity to make something work for you and them. It's a mutual relationship. This movie is actually a hard watch for me. You may think that the notion of a 40 year old virgin is purely comedic fantasy, but there are people in this world (myself included) who know that the struggle is real. Such people have high-functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder… and despite being not unattractive and desperately wanting to make it happen, it's still an uphill battle all their adult lives to make sex a reality for them.

So rest is just about personality / getting yourself in a shape at the gym etc.. then you're just as likely to find love as anyone 40. A friend of mine (who is really handsome ladies man) told me that his first sex experience was with a fat, not so attractive chick. Because he was nervous, unsure of himself, so he did it with someone who he wasn't that crazy about. Later he moved to other girls, who were more "his league". If you ask me, going to a hooker is more ethical. At least they know what's up. The truth is, nobody knows how all of that works, until you have tried. I'm a real life 40 year old virgin myself. As far as being comedic goes, it is not bad the movie was made like it was. The character Andy was a virgin really because he was just shy and scared to approach women. He also didn't really struggle with being such a late age virgin. If the movie had have actually been made anything like an actual forty year old virgin then the movie would have been obviously drastically different showing his anguish especially if he was outgoing and trying to connect with women but has been perpetually rejected for years and years and years, decades. It would be pretty dark like my life feels like at times.

I can confirm the waxing was real and the girl was actually inexperienced and didn't know she wasn't supposed to put wax on the nipple and she could've ripped it apart. The cast realized it (a bit late) and stopped the shooting of this scene. The girl lied to get the part and everyone's laughter including hers was completely real. Yes there are indeed. But why these men don't just go to a hooker. After you get that done, you can actually still meet someone real (not a hooker) and you never have to tell that woman that your first one was a hooker. But if you mount impossible expectations at 40, it might never happen. You get too proud, too scared of rejection, until you're old man. Rejection is part of manhood, only women never get rejected (because they never make first moves). You can't learn to swim without getting your feet wet. Hookers are perfectly acceptable way to get familiar with sex, it doesn't mean you are doomed to rely on hookers for the rest of your life. Even famous actor Kevin Costner used to pay hookers for sex before he became famous. Back when he was a young inexperienced guy, he used to drive around with his car and pick hookers up. He has openly told about it in an interview. There's no shame in it. Although it may not be preferable, it's better than dying alone because you mounted impossible expectations of "the perfect relationship" that never comes. In this day and age, 40 year old virgin will have a hard time finding a woman. Unless you look from religious circles maybe. Most modern women will not understand it, but get scared. Look at Lolo Jones, even beautiful, athletic, succesful woman can have hard time finding anyone, if they take it too seriously for too long. Lolo Jones's problem = mounting impossible expectations. And most men are scared of her as well, they don't want to get involved with something like that. Someone as fanatic as that... so many things could go wrong

Hey Ladies. I am only 8 1/2 minutes into this video, but thoughts popped into my head that I wanted to say before I wait until the end of the video and forget. First of all, I like your accent. Secondly, Andy has nothing on me, as I am 42. And last but not least, you two are both attractive, but 2 things....Woman on MY right, the dark lipstick throws me off. Woman on MY left, you have more of the physical features that I tend to be most attracted to, but obviously that is not all that I look for. Okay, time for me to finish this video. =)
