The Mazda FE motors are affordable and parts are more available for big power in SA. There are many tuners that put the Mazda FE into their race cars of all sorts for this reason. One legend has it that the Mazda motor is a copy of the Cosworth YB and some versions have forged internals.

The problem is that the top brass is posted out here from America. The one guy went on to be in charge of Mazda Japan, and it was him who pushed for the Mazda RX-8; another American, a woman, saved our bacon by getting South Africa contracted to build the Fiesta. ? Ford SA can build sedans for America? BMW is already building sedans for America for a long time!

Hou moed jongman alles kom met tyd. Ek is tans 66 jaar oud en steeds besig met modifikasies onder andere my Mk 1 Escort waarin ek reeds Lexus V8 ingepas het met T5 ratkas en M75 diff. Suspensie aan voorkant is deur myself gebou met Toyota strutte en remme so ek hoop om binnekort klaar te maak met die projek. Geniet die Kaap. Groete uit Limpopo.

I am now 66 years old, and i am still busy doing modifications, such as to my MK1 Escort, I already put in a Lexus V8, with a T5 gearbox and a M75 diff. I built my own suspension for the front, with Toyota struts and brakes, so I am hopping to finish the project soon.

He needs a 4link on the rear to take away all of the tramping, I thought the exhaust was going to come off when he spun up the rears.i love the fact that the car is semi original but as a pure ford guy I don't like the mods ,a true fast ford has a specific sound to it and I hate turbocharged cars.

Silly BOY, Mine is a Ferrari, But i Fitted a 1300 OHV Escort Engine For Economy , Fuel Saving, & Currently Making Tuning Features to Run on 12 Volt Battery Power. But it still Has the Original Ferrari Badges & log Book . Extra Capacity to Carry up to 147 Duracell AAA batteries. on the Roof rack. WHAT A WASTE of a Good Escort Bodyshell. Just a Showcar, Do a New Video every 150,000 miles or so. Before it Has any Issues.
