THE LEOPARD MAN is very interesting. The first murder sequence is brilliantly filmed.

Lots of love for I Walked with a Zombie here. Had no idea it was by Cat People’s director. Good analysis of Captive Wild Woman. She was almost added to Universal’s Monster Rally movie series, actually! I had no idea about that proposed Ghoul - Mummy - Invisible Man crossover-I’d love to know more about that, if you ever do a series on unmade horror movies.

I Walked With A Zombie is my favorite of the bunch. It's one of my top ten favorite movies anyway. I'm also very fond of Son Of Dracula. It is atmospheric and creepy, and while Lon Chaney Jr. isn't as good as Bela Lugosi, I think he makes a scary vampire.

Keto it up! I love these. I’ve got I Walked With a Zombie on my watch list. I’ve seen Son of Dracula (Chaney for me is kinda meh), Frankenstein/Wolf-man (silly fun - hate that the big match pretty much comes at the end and there’s only like 3 minutes left 😂) and Rains’ Phantom definitely has WAY too much opera and I’m an opera buff. I like Rains’ performance but the movie - even with the Technicolor - feels slightly empty. I do love how Christine turns down both her lovers and strikes out on her burgeoning career lol I didn’t much care for them anyway. 😄

And both Lionel Attwell and George Zucco would go on to play Moriarty opposite Basil Rathbone’s Sherlock Holmes.

I Walked with a Zombie is definitely one of the very few old school zombies movies that is (a) good and (b) not outright offensive

The East Side Kids are pretty bad, but Sunshine Sammy Morrison was one of the original Little Rascals in the silent era, and I am always happy to see him.

Anyone even slightly interested should check out La Main Du Diable. It's great. I also liked The Seventh Victim.

1943 for me is the beginning of the decline of " horror's golden age "...of all the films listed there is only one genuine classic " i walked with a zombie " ( although " isle of the zombie " i think would have been a better title )...a few of the others listed are indeed fun but hardly classics...
