@@nathanmunoz5857 Except the OL is better than last year because of Puni (PFF's 8th best among 77 G's). McKivitz has improved too (27 out of 77 OT's, Chiefs OT's are 45th & 62nd btw). Banks has also improve (28th out of 77 G's). Trent's dipped, but he's still 6th best. And Brendel is the same. It's the stars who aren't pulling their weight.

To me it is obvious that even though Kyle Shamahan is a great run game coordinator, his passing game alone is pedestrian. He also doesn't know player management, game management, or time management. There's more to head coaching than yards per game

Kyle is detailed in his gameplanning but as a whole, the Niners arent known for being a great executing team. They had so much talent that it glossed over those issues.

Exactly. Wouldn’t have paid Aiyuk. He doesn’t separate. I would have gave the jets Deebo back when they asked for him years ago. Hes just a gadget player and the plays to him don’t work anymore. And haven’t for a long time. Hes been pointless since CMC came. One big reason they have Kittle is because he’s like the 6th o-lineman. If they actually drafted a line, he would be replaceable too. Would have traded Aiyuk to Washington for 2 seconds and drafted Roger Rosengarten and Zach Frazier. Those two beasts with Puni and the middle to right side o-line problem that cost us the Super Bowl would be all set for the next 5 years

There is a lot of the veterans past their prime. But that is part of the problems this year. Using the veterans as a decoy to pick up double teams and open up the defense for mismatched coverage. Guerendo Cowling and Pearsall’s speed can open up the field

Being able to consistently stop an offense in the red zone indicates that teams DO know an offensive style or tendency. I agree that Kyle DOES need help and needs to be accountable to a head coach. Personally, if Kyle were to stay, it should be as O coordinator and not head coach. Because he has majog game management issues, and frankly, this team needs some new blood and to be toughened up. The coaches who made them tough are gone. I listen to the D coordinator every post game and during the week. This guy can't get people motivated to save his life. Why was Brandon Staley brought on?
