It would be cool if the modder added a "fly pass" targeting option. Where you would set the ace to target in a straight line (kind of like the ace paragon ability) and the ace would do fly by passes. Would also fit this new crosspath. Reminds me of an a-10 warthog or just old world war planes that would shoot down targets with their machine guns in a straight pass.

Someone who does play btd5, the ‘splody darts for the monkey specialist building makes it so that when the e dart expires, range, pierce or hitting lead,it spawns a small explosion. Also only the centre dart of triple shots can explode.

8:39 there is. Ace missile. It explodes but remember a few years ago they removed the “explosion” property from the missiles so that it didn’t work on ddt’s specifically. Idk what was so op about it working on them because it wasn’t in many strats that I knew of but I remember they nerfed it for that reason.

⁠ Seriously, the first "upgrade" takes away the pierce to do 2 damage and explode in a tiny radius, more like a sidegrade than an upgrade, except it costs 600 damn dollars. The second is fine but what were they thinking with the third expiring the darts after a few meters? You think the regular ace is unreliable? This just makes it so much more unreliable by the main gimmick of the tower doing no damage when it isn’t directly in front of bloons for that split second. And the next upgrade barely fixes that, and for 23k too, you could get an apache dartship or better yet a spectre for about that money and just be good until at least round 80. the fact that it dies to moabs is nothing short of pathetic. And as the person above has said, it’s just a worse carrier flagship at the 5th tier. Why not have two more aces of the same size? It couldn’t become cluttered since you can only have 1 tier 5 tower. It doesn’t even make sense in universe because the carrier aces are so tiny because of the size of the carrier, but these aces are just tiny for no reason. Like why is it that an ace has two model toy planes following it. Terrible top to bottom design, thinking how some cool idea could be implemented first (front facing MG on a fighter plane like in real life) rather than thinking how to actually balance it in game.

tbf, using the upgrades on a map that doesn't support it, its kinda a sucky move. Thats like checking the new Spike factory path here and complaining, that it can't reliably cover all 3 tracks
