I remember this parade it was one of the last things i did in the battalion before i discharged ... i have good and bad memories of my service in the regiment as you get older you tend to forget the bad and only remember the good ... army service changed me forever i was proud to serve and have the skippy badge proudly tattoo'd on my chest with the roman numerals 5 and 7 Thats how much it meant to me......

Great to see someone never forgets a battalion that at last divided back to how it was reinventing the wheel. always 9 battalions. Up tigers and pigs.

As an ex Tiger of 5 RAR (2nd Tour 1969) I have to admit that I was disappointed when they merged with 7 RAR, but I know that the Unit served well and proud until they de-merged.

Firstly, when you discharge from the army we do not get along with the department of health. And it is the whole department so their is no point in complaining to anyone about it. Moreover, avoid health sector trouble after discharge by becomeing a two hundred kilogram person and do a lot of four wheel driving or go on long holidays overseas. In addition, working in the city industrial jobs seems to provide some protection from the health sector but it is still really frightening. Finally, university actually makes things worse with the health sector. I became a biological scientist and it just attracted more sharks. They actually completely take us over and it turns your skin white. Next, the civilian health sector are actually very dangerous. Particularly for the discharged smaller seventy kilogram soldiers that have a hundred thousand dollars. Moreover, some of the dangers of the health sector is two hundred kilogram thuggery. This usually involves the signing of documents and maiming can also happen if you do not take some steps to avoid trouble. Therefore, after discharge it is best to forget you were ever in the army and never provide work details to any health organisations. This includes veteran organisations as they are the hardest to deal with and usually where thuggery begins.
