It's too slow for standard too. The power level for legendary is subpar, nevermind for a highlander legendary. Too often are the 3 choices bad and then your hand is filled with the other crappy choices. Played it 4 or 5 times and not once did it feel good. Heck, even that new excavate reward that does the same is much better. I don't get what they were thinking..

its not at all too slow. you can get away with so much right now in wild. i've been homebrew reno piles since the release of the expansion and the card is perfectly fine to run

Hi all, any advice on which loaner deck to pick with the mini-set out? I'm choosing between either DK, Warlock or Warrior.

I'm assuming that the loaner decks didn't change with the mini-set; I think they only change with each new expansion. So my advice is based on that assumption, as I can't see what the loaner decks are in the client. I'd say don't pick Warlock, because a big part of that deck (Amorphous Slime into summoning Thaddius) will be rotating out of standard with the coming expansion in a few months. DK's plague build and Warrior's Odyn build will likely remain relevant for the entirety of the coming year. Assuming you don't have much of a collection, I'd recommend picking the Warrior deck, because on top of Odyn, it gives you Ignis and Yogg Saron, two powerful neutral legendaries that fit into a lot of other decks. Compared to the DK deck which only has DK exclusive legendaries. tl;dr: Warrior because of the neutral legendaries

​@@rivetace Thanks for the advice, got Ignis for free as a reward for buying a forge in the barrens pack. So it's just Yogg for the neutral legend. And its two new legends from both DK (marrowgar is core) and warrior decks. Does this mean the DK deck would be a better pick over warrior? Is the paladin deck worth getting since pally is strong in the meta now? I alr got Tyr from a pack tho, but I can dust the extra Tyr unlike Ignis and marrowgar. 😅

@@doodadsyt Paladin, Warrior and DK are all strong enough in the meta right now, so picking any of them would be fine. The best build of Warrior right now is Brann Warrior which has no duplicates, which means it'll be more expensive on average. So I'd suggest DK or Paladin. Either should be fine to pick, so just try them out and see which one you like to play more.

Having 2 Otk's in your deck makes it a lot more clunky to get one combo out, if you keep Oden you need the Shields, while with bran you just need astalor and ways to get to him and brand, which you can base your deck around, making it more of a consistent win Con, you can still try out both and get some cheesy games, but it won't happen as regularly as if you just had on strat to go off, plus double battlecry+ The ox? You don't need any units in the deck with that combo alone

If you cut a win con, you can put in a clear so you don't die to aggro decks. You definitely can run a greedier list with more win cons. It'll help versus other slow decks. But it'll make aggro matchups harder. That's the tradeoff of deck building.
