Peridot is an interesting thing for me; I discovered it not too long ago myself. But the funny thing is, I'm also pretty deep into Doom modding/custom maps and it so happens that SeaTree is also working on projects there. They actually released a wad this year iirc. Small world, this.

Yes now I finally found a perfect Pokemon fan game to me: Fuso's Meteor what have a beautiful Black & White art style, Pokemon moves in battles and it following you just like in Heartgold & Soulsilver my first Pokemon games I've ever played I really love Pokemon Fuso's Meteor name, art style and love how you played one of the most beautiful Pokemon soundtracks ORAS Zinnia's theme in that game's part of a video I need to get and play Fuso's Meteor! Normally I don't care about graphics at all, but yeah Grueling Gold REALLY needs work on that. Transition tiles, stuff like proper fence corners, and just generally having a minimal amount of visible seams are the bare minimum on that front. Great battles though.

Just started playing bioterror an hour ago, about to set the difficulty down as that first boss pokemon is very tough and I don't like grinding. Fuso's Meteor is pretty awesome and Gruelling Gold is ok and but I like the challenge of it better than radical red

Honestly I want more Gen 2 hacks. Gruesome gold looks fun but it's so visually unappealing. Maybe someday someone will make a radical red clone for Johto using heart Gold SoulSilver when DS hacking gets that great

I also want to say the connection to radical red you made for grueling gold is a bit odd... phantombass has been making fan games since before radical red even came out, and he's always had a unique style of game with each of his projects. If you ask me his brand of difficulty is very different than radical red as I'd say it makes more extreme changes to mons and battles in general. The AI in his projects is much better than radical red which is so focused on having the AI read your own moves which I find highly obnoxious. Radical Red didn't invent hard pokemon games.

@azuraflavoredwater2 nah it's incredibly easy. there's a tutorial by leo on how to debug (almost) any game and if that's impossible you can use cheat engine

My biggest gripe with rom hacks is the best games all being rxgp games. It’s extremely lame I’m surprised no one has made an rxgp conversion kit or smth. Super tired of missing out on the coolest games cause I don’t have a computer

I like your videos and your taste but to evaluate demo games, games that most probably will never be completed, is really pointless... Over a decade so many games have been produced to some kind of beta versions and never got past that point, so you can understand my statement. But, even so, i appreciate your work. Many fangame demos have eventually evolved into full games, and by giving them attention I give the developers more motivation to keep working on their games It's far from pointless

Probably just a false positive (try scanning it with the default windows one) or you downloaded it from the wrong source, I've never seen someone go through making an entire well made fangame just to use it to distribute viruses.

The official download links (from the Discord or the Pokécommunity/Eevee Expo page) are definitely clean. I wouldn't download from anywhere else. If it's Windows Defender flagging it (it sometimes happens), then you may need to add the game to the whitelist.
