Thanks for the video. Is very informative. I'm a first time condo purchaser, purchased back in 2018. I have paying condo fee. I started on $323 and now its at 343 and going to probably up by 10$ this year. I really don't like the fact that they keep increasing every year and they don't even create a condo annual meeting anymore. Also, most the people that lives in here doesn't even care if they are paying more or less, they just pay. Me, in the other part, started in checking the monthly statement and I'm comparing with the previous years and I don't like what I see. We have 5 board members that I don't know what the heck they do. I wish that the condo management company would price shop more instead of just going with let say the first snow removal company they find. I'm so frustrated.

Thank you for the feedback! The unfortunate downside of the condo fee is that its normal for the HOA fee to slowly increase. As the building's age, they need more maintenance and this means more money flowing out of the condo budget than into it. The best thing you can do as a condo owner is to be proactive with your association - go to the meetings, join the board if you can - stay informed. If a single family home is in your budget, then selling the condo may be something you should think about.

@@LivinginPlymouthJenSylvester Thanks for the reply! I like the single family idea but it's too big for me alone.
