Question : where does the Ashe go? how about putting a coarce screen in the bottom of the stove compartment after breaking the top wall of the bottom brick?

if built properly it burns so hot that there is hardly any ash left over

I'd make the chimnies taller and put a few inch and a half holes in the bottom of the burn box since it's already up off the ground. Maximize that rocket effect.

Why an H block? An H block causes the tinder feed to be at the side. If the sides were opened (making an E) instead of the ends the tinder feed would be oriented differently. Is there an advantage of one over the other?

Stack one more block on top, creating a taller riser, and you'll get closer to having something that functions like a rocket stove. What you show in this video has very few of the characteristics or geometry of a functioning rocket stove.
@jeremysmallwood8631 Жыл бұрын
So 1 block higher?
@jasonbroom7147 Жыл бұрын
@@jeremysmallwood8631 - Your riser (chimney) should be at least 3 times as high as your fuel intake chamber, to burn more efficiently.

where you going to get power tools in SHTF?
@paulflorio699511 ай бұрын
You aren't. That's why he showed it being built using a hammer in a few seconds of the video. Or, just build it in preparation of the SHTF. Then you can use all the power tools you want.

to everyone who keeps saying "ItS NoT A CinDeR bLoCk ItS CeMeNt!". thats a distinction thats no longer relevant because cinderblock is under the same linguistic umbrella as "kleenex" or "coke". Its a colloquialism meant to refer to a largely standardized object made of nondescript, vaguely durable blocks of calcium based synthetic rock. If you're going to be pedantic, be pedantic well. Its cinder blocks made of cement because "cinderblock" refers to form regardless of chemical composition. Either learn how to be pedantic or stay in your own poorly maintained lane.

Did you realise that you didnt have to cut the complete section out at the end of the block? if you had stopped at 1:55 that would work and cause a stronger updraft for a cleaner burn, but I assume you was copying someone else so didnt experiment with it
