@@zr5264 sayyed is not related to education or knowing about religion or status. Sayyed is when one is a blood relative to the prophet (s) and it's not a must to call them that it's just a sign of respect and not at all disrespectful when you don't call them that

What about when the husband paid for wife's home and promised her in front of nany family members that he would never make a claim on it. But upon divorce he changes his mind and makes a claim. Is that money Haraam on him as he is going back on his word. If so then please do mention that. As i am going through that whereby my husband moved into my home and paid mortgage but now he is making a claim on my home and asking for the money back. Jazaak'allah

What if the wife helped the husband build his business? She spent years working, taking care of the business, contributing to him receiving huge income, on top of that caring for the home and kids. She doesn’t get compensation for contributing in his wealth? So unfair.

As a woman I can learn from this mistake. For example, if I was in this situation, I would ensure my my name was legally on the business to show I have partnership in it. Otherwise not contribute a single minute to the business. I'm sorry for the sister who went through this, but let's help each other and share stories like this to prevent mistakes in case of divorce

Respectfully, following judges who are humans and have personal bias over Allah, who is completely fair, is a very “barbaric” way of thinking. I suggest you research more into Islam if this is your way of thinking.

@@sidrasidrasadiq9337 When you say islamic law is barbaric, you say god is barbaric. So just be careful when using such terms. You dont like the default laws, that's fine, Allah has left you complete freedom to agree upon whatever your heart desires in the contract. Tell me which religion gives you such freedom. In fact even the local law does not give you the freedom to choose that. If you watched the lecture you should ve understood that. By the way just to mention: thorugh out history the position of the mother in the society has changed a lot, and that may be the reason why you disagree with the default islamic law on marriage, because the default law ist based on older generations than today. But thank god the creator has made everything compatible with different circumstances. Have a nice day
