CCGs are practically in a different category for a list like this haha... There are also a lot of games that would have moved higher on our lists if we had included storage solutions, sleeves, etc. I've definitely been eyeing Clank Catacombs... curious where it ranks for you among the rest of your Clank collection. -Ryan

What a great list! My most expensive games are probably Final Girl and Arkham Horror LCG. Arkham is probably my favorite game ever. I've lucked out, and most of my collection for both Arkham and Final Girl were gifts. I do want to try the LOTR LCG, too, but I was afraid for my wallet 😂

I have the same fear with LCGs. 😂 I only have the core revised set for Arkham Horror but want to pick up some expansions sometime to do a proper campaign. But they definitely have the potential to be the biggest money sinks. -Ryan

Oh no.... I'm right there with Ryan with the Living Card Games. Coming from playing Magic for years, I loved the idea of this model to save me money. That didn't happen... I was slightly into Android Netrunner, but could not keep up. I received Marvel Champions for fathers day the year it came out and that was so hard to say no to some of my favorite superheroes! I had to get them 🙃 i have not fully kept up with this one, but probably have $500+ with all the packs I've received as gifts over the years. I currently also have everything for Arkham Horror LCG. I'm afraid to count that one up... Crokinole is my biggest one-time purchase at $300. Crowdfunding is dangerous on the wallet. I haven't done many of them, but I've done enough. The Maximum Chrome Edition of Thunder Road has been my most expensive crowd funding at $250. As for value, i think I've gotten a TON from each of these games, and will continue to do so. The prices I've paid feel ok to me for the fun that's brought and the experiences had with friends. That being said, let's vow to not buy any more games this year 😉🤣

Narrator: "The Living Card Game distribution model did not, in fact, save them money." 😂 I have a cheaper Mayday Crokinole board which I've had a ton of fun with. I could see myself getting a nicer one way down the road, but it is a game that is totally worth it in my experience. Glad that you've come out on the other side feeling like you've gotten a lot of value with all of these versus sinking regret! -Ryan

Let's see (note that none of this was bought from a crowdfunding campaign, and in all cases, the different bits were bought over time: CCGs Magic: the Gathering Legend of the Five Rings Seventh Sea Wargames Advanced Squad Leader Commands and Colors (Ancient, Medieval, Napoleonic - arguably different games, but my collections of either Ancient or Napoleonic would make either of your lists easily) De Bellis Multitudinis (3 versions of the rules, two versions of the four army books, plus multiple armies of miniatures) Boardgames Dominion Pathfinder Adventure Card Game Descent (you can use 1st ed creatures in 2nd ed, so I'm counting both) Ticket to Ride

CCGs and games with miniatures... the usual suspects haha. But expanding games gradually over time as you play then more is definitely the ideal way to go! -Ryan
