5 MINUTE RULE FOR INSTAGRAM GROWTH (INSTAGRAM STRATEGY) / Can you really grow your Instagram account in under 5 minutes a day? You know I’m not a big fan of wasting time. So, in the time suck of social media, I had to figure out how I was going to grow my Instagram account without being glued to my phone. And I’ve cracked the code, my friend. I created a 5-minute rule for Instagram growth and last week, my account passed 122,000 followers (even though I haven’t posted in over a month on my feed and I’m super minimal about the time I spend on the platform).

Tela Holcomb She literally says she only spends 5 minutes a day doing this “5 minute rule”. Sure maybe she meant she does one of these things for five minutes, but she never says that’s the case and calls it the “5 minute rule”. Also, I don’t think anyone is like saying this to hate on her. She has some really good methods for growth. But those who of us who have spent a considerable amount of time growing our Instagrams (56k in one year baby 🙌), just know that this seems oversimplified. That’s all ✌️

Big take always. Do this in five minute increments, don’t do it all at once Section one Existing audience Any followers or engagement that day - send them a voice message or personal thanks. Or video message, ask what they hope to get out of this. Polls Info on what the followers want. Especially for new masterclass or webinar Questions : After posting new photo, go like all the comments on the previous post. Step two find like minded accounts. Don’t be cool, be friendly. Search keywords or tags within niche, and save content while at it. Go through hashtag list, interact with people. Once relationship is built, follow up, week or months later. Answer dms. Something like that

This is a really helpful video and I love that polls idea . Another tip is called STRATEGIC COMMENTING guys. Simply going to places where your target audience is gathered and actually joining in on the conversation helps a ton . This is one of the ways I have grown my handle from 2k to almost 7k . I will definitely start incorporating the voice messaging to clients. What I’ve noticed recently though is when I use questions in my Instagram stories, I get a lot of spam. It’s so annoying! There must be a searchable way for people to see questions because the comments are from people obviously wanting to grow their own business, but whom I am not friends with. That being said it is still valuable as a lot of the followers respond as well.

I love the dedication that you actually timed yourself doing all of that! But honestly, you don't need to do all of them at once. If you have a few minutes before work or something like that, be intentional with them. Don't just scroll Instagram, use one of these tips for those few minutes :)

The “trick” for notifying your followers with a like that you’ve made a new post - am I responding on their comments after I post (watched your how important it is for engaging at least 30-60 mins after posting) and NOT liking it at the same time (save the “like” for tomorrow’s new post sorta idea)? ...... I have been following you and taking notes from your videos =). I have been following the six things to do everyday to grow on you tube and I have been getting more followers! Now I am moving on to working on Instagram so I am going to focus on the relationship aspect this week and then move to the hashtags.
