Let’s see how good Brock Purdy is when Trent Williams retires, it seems like people forget Kyle Shanahan made Matt Ryan into the league MVP at one point, the QB that’s missing from your list for me is Lamar Jackson, the fact he won the MVP last year is an absolute joke, at least in 2019 he legitimately deserved it, Josh Allen should have been the MVP last year

@gmb858- The video is not about worst contracts. If it was, then Watson would be number 1 and fairly so. NOBODY thinks Watson is worth that contract. To be overrated, Watson would have to be getting more hype than he deserves. NOBODY thinks Watson is a top 10 quarterback. Even the Browns at this juncture don't believe he's worth his contract. If he was on the market today, he would be paid peanuts. The video is not about players getting overly paid, it's about overrated players. While Watson is many things, he's not overrated.He just sucks is all.

To be overrated, you have to have people think that you are better than what you are. Purdy is someone that many think is overrated by example because while most people think he's good, most don't agree with some media members claiming he's a top 5 quarterback. No one thinks Watson is a top 15 quarterback, nonetheless a top 10 one. Kruger said in this video how people claim that Watson is a good quarterback when he can stay healthy. I watch many videos and read thousands of comments and I can promise you that no on has said that. There are some that still are hopeful but that is different than what they think he will be.

Yoo Jackson, u should listed what rating and who's rated these players as a based. So we can build "overrated" arguments. If it's from the words, mounth to mouths, no solid rating. We aren't sure how to grades them. Imo 5th, 4th and 3rd QB fall in grey area. Ppl not sure what to expect from them. They can be good or worse. That's why many content creator tried to hype them ups. Purdy is kinda unique though. I believe he is good. And his ultimate strength on his cheap contract. That makes it possible for 49ers to hv stacked team around him. Dak is good regular season and different person on playoff.

Top 5 overrated quarterbacks: 5.Will Levis I think he’s good but it’s too early to tell if he really is a franchise qb which a lot of people are saying. 4.Lamar He did not deserve to win mvp. It’s that simple. 3.Jared Goff Arguably one of the best offensive supporting casts in football. He makes all the throws you need him to but nothing more than that. Pretty solid. 2.Geno Smith He is not the answer at qb for the Seahawks next season and will never be more than an average qb. 1. Jordan Love I feel like Jordan love did very little to earn the meatriding he is getting right now. He had a shaky first 3/4 of the season and had a couple good games here and there, including a nice playoff win. But cmon, he has to do so much more to prove he can be consistent before I think he is a top 10 qb.

I’m not with you on Deshaun Watson man, he was the 2nd or 3rd best QB in the league in 2020, the last 3 seasons were a complete write off I don’t know how anyone can make an honest assessment of where he stands or if he still has it or not until he plays a real season, I don’t care that he was rusty coming off his suspension, last year the doctors think he fractured his throwing shoulder in week 3 and he still came back a month later and won a game @Baltimore which they were down 14-0 at one point

Forgot to include Burroverated who's incredibly mid in the playoffs and got outplayed by Jake Browning this year, always around 10th in QBR nowhere near Mahomes Allen, got outplayed by Tyler Huntley in playoffs, 0 4th quarter TDs in playoffs even Hubbard got a TD before him, in the 2021-22 run, he was less impactful than their kicker (Evan McPherson was perfect going 14/14 FG including multiple GWs and 50 yarders)

I'd argue the best defense for Watson not being overrated is that most of the national media is happy to celebrate his failure, you can't be overrated if nobody is willing to say you're good to begin with. To state the obvious, QB wins aren't a stat, especially when you factor in how disgusting (in a good way) that Browns defense was in the beginning of the season. Most above average backup QBs in the league could have won those games, and the dried up husk of Joe Flacco basically did even while the wheels were falling off at the end. I'll give Deshaun credit for hanging tough in the Ravens game, but I think he'd have lost the locker room entirely if he didn't, he couldn't look Garret in the eye otherwise.

Old guy here. I’m not sure about Brock Purdy being overrated. I thought Brock did very well, getting his team to the SB. Sure he’s got a lot of talent around him, he didn’t do it by himself. With the weapons he had on offense, he still got farther than I thought he would. Definitely agree on Dak. Great regular season numbers, gets beat in the playoffs, still makes FAT money on his salary. #1 overrated.

He's not overrated. 49ers have had Garoppolo, Lance, Mullens, Beathard, Johnson, and Darnold in the last few years. None of them came close to what Purdy has achieved. If it was the system, then even a Beathard could have gotten them to a Super Bowl. You could also argue that the system is what's holding Purdy back. The guy can do a lot more than what Shanahan's scheme allows him and the team to do. Purdy has an extra gear that Shanahan won't let him shift to.
