I use the notes feature frequently with notes about how to run the job and how to deal with running it on a different machine. Checklist is also something I have set up. I have it remind me to "FOCUS!" as I have missed that far too many times. Air assist is also on there. I use Trace Image all the time. It is a great feature to. I totally use the material library as I have several types of things I do. I try to use the tool layers for my templates. The node edit takes some time to get use to but can be very powerful in creating stuff. Great video! Thank you for putting this together.

It would be nice to have dithered setting for vector Fill and Offset Fill for shapes. It will reduce the need to rasterise the shape for dithered fill and create outline vector shape for smooth edges

Please consider a video on circular array. I have watched the one from 5 years ago by Carl Fisher. It really seems out of date and since I'm somewhat visually impaired I'm have some problems.. Also, I 'd like to see another longer video on the NODE tabs, please. Thank you for this information. It is very helpful for a total novice like myself.

How can I print the entire work area grid for the lightburn program on wood?
@bloomdds

I get confused about Layer Memory. I'd like to dedicate 4 layers per material, allowing pre-sets for 6 materials, which leaves 5 layers for ad lib projects. If I load old projects, will they reset the "default" layers that I now consider dedicated on a temporary basis or a persistent basis that shows up next time I open a blank LB window to start a new project? In other words, if I then open a window to start a new project, will the layers be reflecting my new, dedicated layer settings or will the settings be altered by the old project loaded earlier? How do I establish and keep the dedicated layers consistent from now on each time I start a new project? (If you don't know, just tell me to run experiments to find out. I just wondered if there was an answer based on your experiences.)

node selector is drive me crazy, why does the program keep making the selector icon soo damn small. It is too picky. or I create the line box with the pencil and it won't show me the nodes or let be create path so I can turn on the nodes, here another one got the freeform box created like I want it, select the box and then the image, and the apply mask is missing!!!!!!! WTF is wrong with light burn all i am trying to do is delete the background, I am burning on a mirror, if I don't get rid of the background my laser is is burning off too much no mirror left. Yes I am very frustrated with the program right now. Been making different attempts for over two hours on something that should have taken 5 minutes at the most.

Hi Christy, I wish I could help, but I'm afraid I don't have any time to spare over the next few weeks. In addition to running my laser business I'm also in the process of buying a house, so I'm already overbooked at the moment. Sorry!

Can you comment on something I've seen a couple of times please. I've read or heard someone say a couple of times that some laser heads will only last mayber 15 - 30 hours but I've seem where the Octur LM3 and the NEJE are rated at 10,000 hours. If that is TRUE; Why would anyone but one that was only rated for about 30 hours or less? thank you for the time and consideration........ Jerry ... From Houston..
@asherdiy
@asherdiy 5 ай бұрын
I’ve personally never seen a laser head rated for 15-30 hours. My only guess would be it would be used for kits for folks who just want to try building their own laser system from scratch. But I don’t think I’d buy anything like that myself.
