Great video. My surprise walking around old Palermo was that some streets were so small I was sure I was on a sidewalk until a motorcycle drove by. So I would tell tourists to be extra careful walking around and never think you know it all. Expect surprises. I felt very safe the month I spent in old town. I loved that my Airbnb was close to the sea, street market, and lots of great eateries.

If you are idiot, anywhere you go problem finds you, but if you are cool and you know things, no problems. People often forget that they're tourists anywhere they go except home. If you go to Palermo and you act like a idiot or you dont respect culture and land, well... Even home you gona get f if you are like that. Sicilia, Campagna and Calabria are something else. I lived in Palermo 2.5 years. Was visiting also Naples in Campagna, Crotone and Reggio di Calabria in Calabria provence. I love Italia. Best people and best land in world for me. Soon im gona return. If you respect em, nobody and never gona give you hard time. Even more, they gona protect you like their own.

it's a relatively short walk from the central station to Vucciria. Just keep in mind that the central station area might not be the best place to hang out late at night. However, with the right precautions, you should be fine

Ciao there! No, they don't try to snatch phones. It's just kids who take advantage of distracted visitors, they are not aggressive or violent. You usually don't even see them when you get robbed - they are incredibly quick and stealthy. They will simply take something out of your pocket if it is left open
