Being Salvadoran is kind of hard. Videos like this demonstrate why......we're the 3rd largest Hispanic community stateside! And we get giddy over anyone who compliments us. Like geez yall, yeah the country is nice.....I mean it is in Central America. Beautiful landscapes. Beaches. Scenery. What a shock. To all my stateside Salvadorand and Salvadoran Americans. Let's demand more out of our community. I get sick and tired of watching the memes on IG and tiktok of people tap dancing for likes using the exaggerated stereotypes and goof antics. Let's take ourselves serious and look to improve the country. Much love to anyone who visits ES. We may never be Costa Rica or Panama, but we make it up in so many other ways(namely the best food).

Jay Cee, when you hear negro in El Salvador or any other Latin country, it is not to disrespect you, but because that is the color black name there is no other name in reference to that color for example: frijoles negros, which means black beans, or la camisa negra, means the black shirt. El hombre negro, means the black man, but that does not in any minimal way means disrespect. Blessings may God take care and protect you every where you go🤗🙏
@JayCeeMax3 жыл бұрын
Cheers Marta. I know your comments are always with good intentions. Please don't take my response as an offense, but did you know that the word "negro" in any Latin American country, even today, could be used in a derogatory way to a person with darker skin? So when I mention things like this, just know, it still happens. It sucks that people like to use words to put others down but then that same word could also mean something cool and cute depending on the context. Being that it still can be used in a way to denigrate others, I will still make people aware that it happens. I already have a video where I explain both sides of the coin. Many people will deny that the word can be used to denigrate others, but I'm not stupid. I live with this skin my entire life and I hear it ALL. Good and bad. It doesn't mean I am offended. I am just speaking truth that many people like to forget and replace even though it still happens because it depends on an individuals' heart if they want to use that word for bad. And yes, I have dark skinned Salvadorans who will till this day almost cry about the way she was bullied a few years ago for being a dark morena in Usulután. The bad words slung her way, the accusations of being poor, the comparisons to certain animals, and I could go on and on. It still happens to this day, and yes in El Salvador. So now do you understand what I mean in this particular video towards the end that certain "negro" jokes still happen?
