One thing I notice about the Cleopatra machine, because I play it often at Foxwoods in Connecticut, is that it doesn't seem to want to hit bonuses when you are on Max bet but when you were on Lower denominations it hits all the time

This is also known as the "Envelope Method". Breakdown your total bankroll into 5 even amounts. After a bonus win, you take your total ticket, print and place it in an envelope. Rinse and repeat for each 5 amounts. In the long run, this is the only way to come out ahead on a consistent basis.

Great content always! I must say, I worked in a casino for many years and the rule of thumb was to play a machine you can max bet. If you can’t max bet you don’t play the machine. Max bet to me means playing highest denon with max credits.

But low denom max bets take a long long time to hit anything other than eventually breaking even, for example on a double diamond quarter machine with 5 credits max ($1.25) the best I got was break even.
