Myth는 '신화'란 뜻이 있지만 '신화적인 사람'이란 뜻도 포함하고 있다. 100년을 살아오신 이혜구박사님의 평생을 생각하니 갑자기 떠오른 제목이어서 그대로 사용하기로 했다. 이 작품의 내용은 오랜 세월을 살아오시면서 이룩한 업적들을 상징적으로 표현하여 모자이크하였다. 한편, 많은 다른 문양들을 거울 형식으로 투명하게 아라베스크처럼 디자인하기도 하였다. 또한 이혜구박사님의 업적이야말로 보석 같이 빛나는 것들이어서 빛나는 소리들로 표현하려고 노력하였다.
Myth means 'myth', but it also includes the meaning of 'mythical person'.
This work was dedicated to Dr. Hye-ku Lee of Mandang in commemoration of his 100th birthday. When I think of the life of Dr. Hye-ku Lee, Mandang, who has lived for 100 years, the title suddenly came to mind, so I decided to use it as it is. The contents of this work are mosaics symbolically expressing the achievements achieved over a long period of time. On the other hand, many other patterns were designed like arabesques in a transparent mirror format. Also, Dr. Hye-gu Lee's achievements are the things that shine like jewels, so I tried to express them with shining sounds.
