Thanks, Serge! I'm going to Iceland for the first time in May, 2024....& as it's a LONG way from here in Australia & is incredibly expensive, I'm sure it'll be the only I get to go there. I'm looking forward to it, it looks amazing, & these are fantastic tips.

Soo much great information I will both watch again and then heed those techniques when out photographing. Thank you Serge.

Serge, may I be honest? At 5:26, I definitely liked it more without edit. The sky colour doesn’t fit in at all and the ground is lot by the overcast caused light. I know you love the colour purple and in your cityscape edits it’s awesome, but here it hurts to watch and “causes eye cancer” (as we say where I live). It’s physically impossible to get that colour in the waterfall at normal and/or replaced sky. Please don’t feel offended, I really like your work, but that edit needs criticism.

Oui, moi aussi je préfère la photo avant la retouche. Le tout semble très artificiel. Je préfère un effet naturel, subtil et surtout aucune retouche qui donne un effet HDR. Question de goût, évidemment.

Thanks for all the tips. When my wife and I travel, we always plan our trip around photography opportunities.

Some good tips but I don’t like to overly edit my images. Personally, I see some of these images as over edited/unnatural. Punchy, yes, but not what your eye sees. The sky replacement certainly looks wrong to me but I can’t pinpoint why and I’ve rarely seen one the works. I always wanted to go to Iceland but I won’t now as I’m worried it might sink under the weight of photographers and their gear!

First time here. Nice general tips on composition in your images. I actually saw a really nice composition in your drone b-roll at the waterfall you went to while struggling to find a foreground (where you put boots on). The valley behind the waterfall looked amazing. For that you could have used the waterfall itself as the foreground by using the drone. I wonder if you took that?

Nice video Serge, My only problem is trying to work out whether you work as a Photographer or Graphic Artist. Your final renditions bear little to no likeness to the scene you shot. Kudos to you to be able to market this, I would be embarrassed to manipulate my images so far as to have the dreaded "Ohh you Photoshopped it!" remarked upon my presentation. Bon Ami, this is not meant as an attack purely as my honest thoughts viewing your process. Be Well and Thank You.

I am beginner in photography. I bought a used Sony A7s2. New 24-70 2.8 lens. How much power flash would be enough to shoot outdoors? I would be doing street photography and portraits. I would want to take this flash with me easily and during travelling. Should I go for on camera flash or off camera flash This would be 1st flash that I would buy. What are your suggestions for flash? Also suggest soft box and tripod (either camera or flash would be tripod as I can hold only 1 thing) for travelling.

Great video and I love your edits. You are not just documenting history, like for a news paper, but creating art. And art is interpreted differently by everyone. Keep up the good work.

The biggest mistake you made was to exchange the sky - because it sticks out like a sore thumb as the light direction is WRONG and it immediately screams fake at any viewer.
