I needed a refresher on tipping because I share 50/50 with my driver...new company. So it not only affects me but the driver. I have the tools to write a "tip" speach! Thank you Kelsey!

Thank you you obviously love your job and you are good at it. I have not made post tour contacts - that sounds very valueble.👍

I totally agree with you! Been a memorable tour guide is our goal, it is definitely great to receive an extra cash to show us how much they liked our work but I think so far the best reward I have had is an email from a couple I took on the tour several months ago telling my boss how much they enjoyed the tour and that they were in their living room drinking the tequila they bought that time and recalling the awesome day they had with me... They even remembered my name! Blew my mind!

When people tip me for guiding them on the boat ride around Milford Sound, I give them my card (made online at my own expense) with my personal email on it, and a "feedback welcome" clause at the bottom of the card listing 'trip advisor'. I also tell them I have some amazing photos of the Fiord if they want to trade photos. This is a nice way to reward them, and also get positive feedback. And thank you for your tremendous help with guiding. I'm a better guide as a result. Ty.

Hi! I’m a freelance local guide and my tours last only for 2 hours. How can I get good gratuities at the end of the tour? Many times I see how people don’t know what to do , if it’s ok to tip me or not and they wait other members of the tour to see what they do. Is there a way to inform them than I’ll be very happy if the tip me? :-)

Thank you for your spending time making this video. By the way, I want to know about the provincial tour guide that should not have. Can you share your opinion with this ?

Just one more thing... I read years ago.... "PEOPLE WILL FORGET HOW MUCH THEY PAID FOR THE TOUR. 90% OF THE FACTS... YOUR COMPANY NAME... YOUR NAME.... BUT !!!..... PEOPLE WILL NEVER FORGET HOW YOU MADE THEM 'FEEL'.

Mmhh... but what if you work for "free walking tours"... then you kinda have to clarify that tips are the ONLY way of getting money and you dont get to keep all the tips anyway...
