1. *Self awareness/consciousness*
1. first thing in the morning questions
1. living consciously to me means
2. if i bring 5% more awareness to my activities today
3. if i pay more attention to how i deal with people today
4. if i bring 5% more awareness to my most important relationships
5. if i bring 5% more awareness to -→
2. *Self acceptance*
1. orientation of seelf value and self commitment that derives from the fact that i am alive and conscious
2. 2nd level: refuse to deny any part of yourself
3. self acceptance is the precondition of change and growth
4. accepting means a fact is a fact
5. How can self-esteem not suffer if we are in a rejecting relationship to our own physical being? Is it realistic to imagine we can love ourselves while despising what we see in the mirror?
third level = compassion , being a friend to yourself
1. you can be not accepting of your good just as much as your bad
2. self acceptance is closely linked to self esteem
3. If you deny something it will linger longer than if you accept it
4. practice: standing in front of the mirror and accepting how your body is as it is right now
3. *Self Responsibility*
Taking responsibility for my happiness is empowering, it places my life back in my hands.
1. I am responsible for the achievement of my goals
2. i am responsible for how i prioritize my time
3. i am responsible for my personal happiness
4. i am responsible for choosing the values for which i live
5. i am responsible for raising my self esteem
4. *Self assertiveness*
- speaking up when you feel like the other person
- live and express your values
- while my life was happening, i was there, i lived it
- committed to my right to exist
- my life does not belong to others
- i am not here on earth to live up to anyone's expectations
- willingness to confront rather than evade from the challenges of life
5. *Living purposefully*
it's not the kind of work that matters but whether a person seeks work that offers an outlet for his/her intelligence, if the opportunity arises to do so.
Purpose unrelated to a plan of action do not get realized, they exist only as frustrated yearnings.
*6. Personal Integrity*
- integration between ideals, convictions, standards, beliefs, and behaviours
- you don't have to feel bad about anything that's not a conscious choice
