This put a smile on my face. Had a 78 Chevy short bed years ago. Put a beefed up 1967 Corvette 427 L88 in it that was making around 500 horses. Lots of fun at the mud races.

I would have to guess it started as a 400, a nice stroker kit with a big cam and the right heads And fuel injection could get you Close to 600 but I’m with you on 600 is hard reliability NA

Never liked lifted truck but it’s one mean looking sounding truck it’s vicious and bad as looking I would try to paint it blk and put the 454 decal I can tell it was put many hours of hard work and done right . This is a monster super nice truck makes me want to build something like this . Enjoy

Look for a 6.0L out of a 03 to 08 chevy pickup. 300hp dirt cheap. Throw a cam in and tune n make well over 400. Putting a 6.0L Chevy in my daughters 78 bronco because it's the cheapest easiest way to make good power and not bad fuel economy
