Let me also add that all the men in israel traveling three times a year to Jerusalem would not be feasible or possible the farthest reagions were to far away you would spend all your time traveling back and forth. How would you tend your sheep manage your crops and so forth??? When it talks about sending your first fruits you would send them to the nearest place that god had put his name the nearst levitical preists, they were gods govermental workers they would keep back what they needed and send also a portion up to Jerusalem! These neaest places with levites were also where the feast were celebrated by those who lived nearby

I had a question about only to the children of Israel and if non Hebrews can be grafted into the olive tree, wouldn't that make them Israelites. But I think you answered that near the end of the video.

Everyone who accepts the covenant of the Torah is referred to as The Children of Israel.

@ahavarunyon5422 that's my understanding I get from Scripture. When the Israelites fled Egypt, not all were Hebrews and Yahweh never distinguished between them. I can't remember exactly why I asked the question but I'm almost certain that it had to do with the way he was explaining things.

@@robertschmidt9296 exactly, once the Israelites and the "mixed multitude" agreed to accept the covenant, nowhere in scripture does it ever mention the "mixed multitude" again: they were "converted" (grafted in) to the family and were never again referenced as being separate. All were Israel.

I would add that any city, village, sanctuary city, that had a courthouse or the city gates as it is refered to in scripture "all"those places are places where god put his name not just Jerusalem, meaning that in all thise places specificly if they had levites they could and would hold passover there not just Jerusalem and if you read further in the law those that lived far away from the city village or Jerusalem could sacrife the passover lamb themselves attested to by josephus during the roman times! they could also sacrifice a peace offering to god themselves if they live outside town the reason they had differnlent law for the city and towns people is because of the mess and smell of everyone yrying to slaughter lambs and cookthem in a closed in wallled village. If you had accses to levites they were the professinal butchers by the way and the meat could be shared by all in the community that makes the most sense if you lived far and away it didnt make sense, god made provision for all and he didnt want good lamb going to waste witch is why if you had a small family you would share a lamb with another! I believe all of gods children should still slaughter a lamb even in disporea because gods name should be on our houses and his law on our doorpost!
