@@VoyagesJapan I am in Japan rn haha! Gonna be here for the next few months as I'm doing a research project. Every Sunday I've been taking day trips from my place. I ve covered Odawara - castle and Kanagawa Prefecture Museum of Natural History, Kamakura-Enoshima, Yokohama and yesterday I was in Shimokitazawa and Shibuya, finally ending the day with a night view of Tokyo in the Metropolitan government building and a tasty bowl of vegan Ramen @Ippudo LUMINE EST, Shinjuku. I will make some more trips to tokyo to cover teamlab, Asakusa, the river cruise, and the park you told. Also planning to explore yokuchos in Shinjuku-Harajuku area. Any other recommendations in Tokyo?

@@vishalkaleeswaran7039 Oh woooow!! I’m officially jealous. I was just chatting with @towada1066 further down in the comments earlier today. They’re in Japan as well, and I mentioned that I absolutely loved Daikanyama and Nakameguro. I’m a huge reader and I love design, so the Tsutaya Bookstore was an absolute joy to visit. And even though it’s not cherry blossom season, the canal in Nakameguro is really a sight to see when it’s lit up at night. So many cool little shops in that area. Take a scroll to find the comments from towada1066. They mentioned a lot of awesome little spots that I’m going to look into to make another video. I think the off the beaten path places are totally worth spending a day to seek out in Tokyo. You truly never know what you’ll find!!

Editing this reply. You’ve seen Kamakura. Sorry I missed that in the original list. Which has been your favorite place so far? What did you think of Kamakura?
@vishalkaleeswaran7039

@@VoyagesJapan If I have to pick a city landscape, it is going to be Yokohama. I specifically covered most parts of Minato mirai, its absolutely beautiful, especially in the evening. Watching the sunset in Osanbashi pier was well worth the visit. Aside from that I visited the typical tourist spots - cup noodles museum, world porters, cosmo clock ferris wheel, chinatown etc. If I have to pick a place with a more natural landscape, Enoshima Island was by far the best. I finished Kamakura during the day, and covered the island during Sunset and post that. It costs extra during the evening but it is worth every penny. I have a detailed itinerary, I can mail it to you if you need! I think you can narrate it well. Kamakura is definitely worth a visit or two. After covering the major temples, I would say getting lost in Kamakura is the best thing to do. Basically soaking yourselves in nature. I did the Daibutsu hiking trail and even got lost in that literally and it was such a fun experience. I will go there again once just to visit the Hokokuji temple and also for some local food that I missed (even though it was planned in the itinerary).

@@VoyagesJapan 😁 that’s me!! Travel is full of experiences and new beginnings!! This was rather spur of the moment… I only got tickets 4 weeks ago, my best friend and myself. I had thought that I would put it off until next fall, 2024, but why wait. Will I have more $$ (probably not), be more ready or excited (impossible), or will the environment of earth wait for a better time (don’t count on it)?? So off we go!! My neighbor asked me if I’m doing a tour with a group. I think I offended her by my boisterous laughter. When I was 16, I did a group tour around Rome with a bunch of other high school girls, and swore off ever being toured around again. Never have since. I’d rather do my own thing because who knows what I want to see or do more than myself?! I will definitely fill you in on all of my goodies. I’ve planned mostly eating, bobbing in hot springs, resting on earth surfaces, more eating, riding exciting trains, yoga, wine baths, and mountain scenery at a temple stay! And who knows what all else I’ll get myself into. 3 sleeps til Tokyo!!! 🇯🇵🍣🍤
