I can only hope that if this franchise continues, the writers will manage to dig up Nomad, give a new location, drop to superhero shooter theme, going back to squads, and return to open maps (meaning locations which can be approached from near-any direction, not just A-B-C routes) with vehicles (or make sprint crysis 1 fast with crysis 3 duration and higher strength jump height) ... Or just redo crysis one with all of C3's elements.

4 years later response XD but the 7th wonder was supposed to be a DLC which takes us back to the island in Crysis 1, due to low sales EA scrapped that and Crytek just made a portion of it as a multiplayer map.

The improvements made to CryEngine 3 are mind blowing! It's incredible to think that this engine is rendering things in real time that roughly 5 years ago took movie studios minutes per frame. Super excited to get this!

This has been talked about before. Graphical code for Crysis 3 PC is separate from the consoles. The full game is a lot more optimised and has higher quality textures than the Beta. PC is a DX11 exclusive, so we are getting the best quality they can pump out. In the Beta with full ultra everything, a GTX 690 was only sitting around 40-50FPS, so its still quite a system stressing game.

for people with low-mid PCs .. don't worry even in low settings this game looks way better than most others games out-there !!! it took us almost 3 years to be able to play Crysis 1 on high settings with a single Gpu back in the days........

First Crysis was absolutely mind blowing. Felt like you were playing a blockbuster movie. Do what you want, play in different styles and it was just amazingly fun, even now. Nomad and the rest of Raptor team were portrayed so well. I miss the whole sandbox style Crysis bought us. The freedom the suit gave us as well. And oh man when you changed the settings in the cfg files for the suit. It was just so fun running at 200mph at Koreans just to enable strength mode and punch them square inthe face

I played the Multiplayer beta, and I never saw any pixelated textures there, even on low graphics. I was glad that Crytek finally put effort into fixing that, but of course, I may be wrong. That's just the impression i got.

In crysis , its mentioned that the earth is their home planet, they went into a sort of hibernation after the Tunguska Effect. They came out of it when their technology was discovered in Korea, besides Crytek mentioned it would only be a trilogy, if they change their mind is yet to be seen. (I hope they do)

Besides the fact that the sixth episode is not supposed to be the last one but they uploaded bout 4 more trailers after the fifth episode so it is more than enough for the excitement for us to buy it.

In crysis 2 you saw that the suit developed a physical connection to Alcatrazs body which while healing him also would allow Prophet who is now the suits AI to control Alcatraz, at the end of crysis 2 Alcatraz gave control of the suit to Prophet, So Prophet is currently in control and Alcatraz is hibernating in the suit acting like a back up system if the suit shuts down, because Prophet would be down and Alcatraz could still use the suit

I'm so glad they got rid of the open world bullshit from the first Crysis, the series really took off after giving the games real direction. Crysis 2 & 3 are on another level from the first two games.

Because the suit was / is symbiotic. that means his minded bonded with the suit. His brain patterns are still in the suit. you should have learned that in Crysis 2 :) Prophet was still in there. And since Alcatraz was basically dead on arrival. he couldn leave the suit or he would die, and the suit kinda grew into him to keep him alive. So they are basically prophet now.

In the nanosuit trailer its explained. There is some sort of Ceph ship in space, and obviously prophet goes up there to destroy it, that causes him to end up in space.

This game is amazing, I pre ordered it today! I loved the beta I was in a tunnel in airport.. I was cloaked when all of a sudden I hear a pinger, I went into armor mode, did a power jump went on top of it and did a jump stomp, I went into armor modem jumped off and went into cloak mode.....like I was never there

The beauty of Crysis 1 was that you could play it any way you yourself wanted. Run-n-gun, stealthy, speedy or any combination of the three. The problem with Crysis 2 is that it forced you to play one way or the other. And even when you "chose" to play stealthily or loud, you were still forced to traverse the same rectangular "rooms" of patrolling enemies to get to the next rectangular room of patrolling enemies. We'll see about Crysis 3, but defending/bashing it this early is wrong.

Just bought the Digital Deluxe Edition of this game today, which included Crysis 2 Maximum Edition, Crysis 3 Hunter Edition, and a bunch of in-game content, all for $80. Great deal considering the fact that Crysis 2 Max Edition is $40 when sold alone and Crysis 3 is $60.

Alcatraz isn't currently controlling the suit, Prophet is, Alcatraz handed over control of the suit to Prophet and Alcatraz is kind of hibernating in the suit

...depends on your definition of open world, which is to a point subjective to each person. Most would consider the first game an open world one, just because you don't go around getting side missions from npcs doesn't mean it's not boring open world.

or the ending is actually the begining ? 'prophet' is sent into space for a mission to destroy some ceph ship and gets lost in space in a low orbit for which alcatraz suffers memory loss or dies or is seriously injured during re entry of earths atmosphere, the suit helps with the landing, the cell group finds/tracks his descent and captures prophet... the rebels listening in track down where prophet is taken and they rescue him. thats my guess

You can kill a tank with a well placed shot from a modern ani-materiel rifle, I'm sure something that is light enough to fly would suffer catastrophic damage considering the same amount of energy involved in disabling a tank.

Since you have played the game and you enjoy ill ask you this..Once you see "new york" and you start to play in the environment..did you experience audio issues? The game sound and dialogue was cutting in and out for about 2 mins. Need update?

The Marines have always used that VTOL, ever since the first game. The CELL operatives specifically used helicopters in Crysis 2, and the Marines specifically used the VTOL. I'm just confused; maybe for the trailer they decided the VTOL looked cooler than the helicopter or something, but it's still a nagging complaint I have. Other than that nitpick, however, this is an excellent trailer. I hope the game can live up to it.
