I like the way my SHACK o.b Owek. Mayiga responded to Kamara's questions and opinions, you know Kamara wanted to dig deep into the Katikkiro's ideas and take on key aspects like land issues, federalism and the Kabaka being a ceremonial head of state referring to Ssekabaka Muteesa II in 1963 but the Katikkiro is bright too, he wisely avoided what Kamara and those behind him wanted to hear..you know we're dealing with a mafia state and reprisals may arise. Bravo Mayiga.

Well said, Katikkiro Mayiga. For more than an hour listening to your conversation, had I been wearing a hat, it would have been impossible to keep it on. I was nodding my head in agreement throughout. You are absolutely right that the Uganda Federation and the legitimate 1962 Constitution of Uganda in which it is enshrined should have been reinstated by now. An average of 78% ( 90% in the Kingdom of Buganda and 65% of the rest ) of Uganda said so during the constitutional talks you have eluded to, which culminated in yet another illegitimate republican constitution of 1995 we do not want and need. Now we are paying the consequences as we have done since 1966 when the federal constitution was abrogated. There is no question who was right. Our representatives at the first Uganda Constitutional Conference in 1961, who had unanimously agreed that Uganda should be a federation at independence the following year or the first regime who abolished it four years later. I agree with your assertion, that every issue you have discussed today on The Spot has been impacted by the failure to get rid of the illegitimate Republic of Uganda, which was imposed upon us against our will and consent in 1967. The call for the reinstatement of the Uganda Federation and the legitimate 1962 Constitution of Uganda is growing louder and louder by the day. Now it is not a matter of whether it should be done, it is indeed a matter of when it will be done. We have succeeded after all. Our opponents may not be happy about it, but they would have no choice but to accept the inevitable. Indeed "time is on our side." If that is what the majority of the country wants, they will surely get it in due course. Again, I would like to congratulate you on speaking up forcefully on our behalf and to let the whole world know where we stand. Thank you very much and many happy returns.

About the federal system of governance, natives of a country or particular local areas within, wud do whatever it takes to better the lives of their people and develop their areas. It wud be priority. How's that tribal if these people are empowered to handle their own issues??? I think it's developmental. Natives of areas are better positioned to develop their areas because they have them at heart and understand their issues better. So, if they believe in kingdoms, so be it. Those who don't believe in kingdoms, let them do it their way, as simple as that. People shud not be confusing this whole idea with kingdoms. It's all about how different areas wud want it done. But the bottom line is to empower local Authorities according to how they're organized. This proposal was brought up in light of the fact that some regions have got no kingdoms but wud still handle their matters independently.
If knowledge is to be hold, this man held it. Bologers please say what you understand not what they tell you to say. Looking for survival is not through kamanyilo
