The 7th Citadel: A long, rambling look at the rules (Part 3 of 3)

The third and final video in The 7th Citadel series.
Corrections & Clarifications:
Before making these videos, I attempted to acquire the most up-to-date rules I could. The final rulebook includes the following changes:
- The cost of passing purse cards to another character is now one Action card total, not one Action card per character.
- The cost of performing a Recovery is now 1 life point for every two (random) cards you recover.
- Characters on the same terrain card must become involved in mandatory actions.
- In the final rules, there is no option to discard Hope Reborn cards in place of losing health points (1:06).
These videos might be helpful as a supplement for the rulebook - and the official rules video - but not as a replacement.

The recovery rules have changed in the final rules. You can recover any time at the cost of 1 health per two cards. So not 20 health for the full deck.

At 6:42, you state that both characters must discard action cards equal to the weight of the item being given/ received. I just unboxed my copy today, and going through the rules, it states it's only one of the characters that discards (either character). Great videos though! Thank you for explaining it all while being entertaining in the process.

7:58: The adventurers picked the lock successfully, but that poor chest spent an awful lot of time being buried, and the fumes of those medieval steroids are not kind to metal hinges. They corroded, the lid was stuck, hence the need for the titanium shovel.

You've mentioned a couple of times that these videos have taken much longer than you anticipated. When I was telling my friend to watch your ISS Vanguard I remember mentioning that, and you emphasized it again here. How long did you think they'd take, and how long did they actually take?

Is it correct that in the rule set provided when games were delivered, that you can no longer spend hope reborn! Cards to block damage?

Also, in the treasure chest resolution step, is the potion allowed to go to the involved player or is the active player the only one allowed to take the items in the consequence step? According to the rulebook provided in my copy of the game, I think Brook would have to take all cards that come from the action and then give the item to Casek separately.

Thanks for pointing out that Hope Reborn cards can no longer mitigate damage, I hadn't noticed that change. I've added it to the 'Corrections & Clarifications' list. Regarding distribution of loot, I'm pretty sure that the video is correct. Page 17 of the final rulebook says "Revealed Purse cards: One involved character may either keep this card, or..."
