When a scooter looks and costs as much as a proper motorcycle get the motorcycle

Scooters always have been proper motorcycles. They are just a different style and framework than most motorcycles. They cut and turn quicker than other motorcycles. They have more built in carrying capacity. They are more fuel efficient, and much more comfortable than the vast majority of other motorcycles. If you care at all about practicality, comfort, and efficiency, and you aren't over compensating for other shortcomings, get a proper scooter.

The manufactures of scooters and motorcycles from Taiwan, are now just as good and in some cases better than the bikes from Japan, Italy, and England. The best quality for the money is still probably Honda and Yamaha. But after those two, the scooters from Taiwan are as good as any other countries scooters. They usually also have the best warranty. The worst junk scooters in the world are those made in China.
