What's with all this fighting over Christmas? Can't we all just get along? BTW...I was once the Santa for Burlington Mall back in the late 80's. The feedback i got was i was the best Santa they'd had in years. Playing head games with the kids telling them i saw them fighting with their siblings or not putting away their toys or arguing with mommy at bedtime. Kids left wide-eyed and parents were silently thanking me.

Hi Ricky, Great to see Team Rumbles back, but sad to see wrestlers performing so poorly lol. Maybe assemble a team of wrestlers with in-game alliances (lists are available online). All 15 wouldn’t be allied with each other, but there’d be various 2,3,4 man alliances within the 15. And get that team to take on Team Christmas.

I am the Wrestlemaniac829, and following some controversial circumstances off a previous rumble, the 80s clashes back with an assembly of their greatest wrestlers to combat against the forces of the jolliest time of the year. In the last rumble, despite an 80’s cartoon star standing victorious, Team Christmas still dominated their opponents by achieving the highest score even in defeat. The streak for Team Christmas has gone surprisingly strong in recent weeks, as we are but a week away from the biggest holiday of the year. Now some of the biggest names in Wrestling, at least during the 80s, have come together in hopes of testing their experience against an ever-growing group. However, despite their ‘best’ efforts, Team Christmas proved too dominant in this particular rumble and the 80s Wrestlers were doomed to fail right when this rumble started. Amongst the Christmas icons featured, the last figure standing is a representation of the ‘scary ghost stories’ told over the holidays: Krampus, pretty much like Santa Claus… but the opposite. For those unfamiliar with the story, Krampus would accompany Saint Nicholas on visits to children but whereas the jolly red man rewarded well-behaved children with presents, Krampus punished the badly behaved ones with birch rods. In a way, receiving a lump of coal from Santa is a blessing compared to a figure so infamous that he was the focus for a director best known for his ‘Trick or Treat’ movie. In previous rumbles, we’ve seen this monster in action, yet this is the best we’ve ever seen in this series. And if this performance is of any consideration, Krampus reminds us why he’s the monster to fear on the holidays and why we should ‘always’ behave all year round. But who was my MVP of this 80s wrestlers against Christmas rumble? Let’s get down to the numbers: Of the thirty competitors featured in this match, FIFTEEN competitors secured the most eliminations (Ten Christmas icons and five wrestlers). The highest count reached up to ‘6’ eliminations, which is five points higher than the average ‘1’ elimination. Even though Krampus ‘technically’ scored the highest elimination count, given that he ‘won’ the match, I give the Golden MVP Award for ‘coolest’ performance to: Big John Studd For a big man best remembered for losing one of the first WrestleMania matches, against Andre the Giant, Big John Studd offered some memorable rumble performances over the course of Ricky J. history. Even though he didn’t win this match, he reminded us as to why he’s one of the most dominant figures in the ring. The fact that he lasted even longer than Andre the Giant himself is almost remarkably humorous. The nominees for the Dull Participation Medal for the ‘lamest’ performance are: Cousin Eddie… and ‘Ravishing’ Rick Rude. On one hand, we have the ninth man to enter and the ninth eliminated… on the other hand, we have a notable Intercontinental Champion thrown out with the worst number in statistics. So I asked myself, ‘Who between the two had the most humiliating defeat during this rumble?’. In my opinion, you know it’s bad when Santa Claus refuses to let you shine, so I’m afraid I’d have to give the medal to Rude for the shortest run time in this match. If Christmas lovers had something to dread as a possibility, having Krampus as a winner is without a doubt the most frightening thought for audiences of all ages. And now, we ask the following questions: Can we think of anything more frightening than Krampus for a winner? Has the 80s completely run out of options to tackle Team Christmas? Will the streak carry on to Christmas morning? And the biggest question of them all: Who’s next? Until then faithful readers, this has been the Wrestlemaniac829… peace out!
