She was a genius in photography. The more she was taking shots, the more she was perfectioning her talent, and becoming a real professional. Don’t forget she took 150,000 photos!!! Anybody will become professional after 1,000 photos. So what if it was 150,000 ?! Her compositions, contrasts and art are exceptional. As for 8 mm videos, I guess it was for her own fun.
@paspartu24534 жыл бұрын
"Anybody will become professional after 1,000 photos" that is a dumb statement, obviously coming from someone who is not a photographer. Learning how to take photographs doesn't make you a photographer in the same way that learning how to write doesn't make you a writer. It takes a depth. Which is why there are so many colorfull and shallow "pros" today revolving around Instagram and the likes.

That's good, she was really trying to do video art before anyone I think was doing video art, she was pushing it, not trying to be a film maker or make a movie, but trying to extend the format of film to art. Very cool, I wonder how she would have edited it?

Vivian Maier, never existed, is the creation of Joan Fontcuberta, a great Spanish photographer, teacher and philosopher. It was an experiment for an investigation and his new documentary. The photos were taken by him. He said that one day looking through the boxes full of old photos of him, he came up with that idea. Social photography experiment.
