I bought the plastic one on E Bay. . This was very helpful but on that Splicer the tape folds over the side with the sprocket holes. I'm thinking this is so as not to cover the sound strip on sound film...Thanks for posting

I am looking for this splicer to restore some ld family movies which I treasure. it seems one advantage of it is also that no image is lost in the slicing process. is that correct ? How does the tape hold over the years ? Thanks so much
