My favorite was Cambodia; but wow, Panama, Cuba, Mexico, Thailand, Vietnam. and most of all, Haiti. Haiti looked like the god Damballa. He has the most beautiful proportions of this competition. Colombia's was also beautiful but it didn't need the cross. Czech Republic might have worn something from his African ancestry (his, was a bit of a yawn), but then I saw DR of Congo and changed my mind. Couldn't he as well a Poland have been more creative. The black color for Poland was dramatic but you could easily see that at a hip-hop or other music festival. Same for Japan. Did Switzerland wear his evening suit to the costume competition and what was that mess that the US wore? Nigeria got into Character but North Cyprus wasn't having any of it. He (Cyprus) could damned well have waited for few more seconds. I prefer Korea's pheasant outfits above their royal costumes (historical drama) and this long silk shirt didn't change my mind. What was that thing that Nepal decided to wear? Europe did a great job of colonizing the developing world. We still want to look like them - years after they left. Netherland and the Philippines mixed things up a bit but yeah...ok. Someone might have told Puerto Rico that less is more but he should have gone with much less or or a lot more. As for South Africa - the poor elephants. Most of these guys looked really beautiful in their costumes. I'd give them 100% for creativity and it brought out their features. There were about five that I didn't like but wouldn't be able to choose a single winner from all the others. This is where the competition should rank high.
